for anyone curious how their new drummer, Jordan Butcher, sounds, i highly recommend checking out his other band, The Weather. they put out a great EP this year called This Is a Big Blue Egg, as well as an album a few years ago called Waters Electric. he's also done art direction for Anberlin, Thrice, Underoath, Noah Gundersen, etc. so i have a feeling he did it for this record too.
jordan butcher is awesome. he's a great graphic designer and got a grammy nomination for his underoath packaging. he's a designer i take inspiration from daily. he probably designed this copeland artwork that i'm gushing about
Track Listing: 1. Pope 2. Lay Here 3. As Above So Alone 4. Suddenly 5. Night Figures 6. Skywriter 7. Colorless 8. On Your Worst Day 9. Strange Flower 10. It Felt So Real 11. Waltz on Water
Night Figures really feels like a Lulls in Traffic track to me, not saying that’s a good or bad thing, idk how I feel
I just got my copies of In Motion and YAMS from SRC so it's officially Copeland time. First 6 tracks on IM are *perfect*
It’s a cold and rainy day and perfect for Copeland. I don’t think I can pick a favorite album but that back half of ESR is so hard to beat
In Central Valley CA we’re still hitting high 90’s, but I’m jealous of you guys! I’m ready for some rainy days with fall music.
Aaron posted about this. Potential new project from him? https://instagram.com/glaswingmusic?igshid=pe8daydn6ajp
It’s definitely Aaron in that photo, so I’m 90% sure it’s not just him producing someone else’s music. Solo Aaron stuff will be great.
