That was my first time seeing Copeland as well. Lovedrug also played. It was in St Paul on Halloween, and they came out dressed like zombies and played Strange and Unprepared. Aaron even had one of those fake blood pill things that he tried to make work during the song, and he was angry that it was a dud haha. Good memories.
Same deal for me. Hate to say it but....I thought they were terribly boring. Their energy was snoozeworthy.. Love them now obviously
Want to hear a secret? I thought so too. Then I immediately fell in love with YAMS right after. A fool, I was.
Man. The first time I saw Copeland was at a Christian festival in Ohio. Probably like 03/04. I was bored to death. Then, well, things changed. Ha
Saw that one too, felt out of place with all the high schoolers there to see RK. Still cool to see two of my favorite bands together
I first saw Copeland in early 2006, and I hate to say it now, but I was bored to tears. I think most of the crowd was, to be honest. It was probably a little more energetic than my memory serves it to be, but I remember feeling like they could’ve possibly been sleeping while they were playing lol. It probably also didn’t help that they had to follow both Gatsby’s American Dream and Cartel (who ended their set with the entirety of Q and A), and that the headliner we were all waiting for to come on was The Starting Line
If you're going to a Copeland show and expecting some super energetic set, I don't know what to tell you lol
Wasn’t expecting it to be energetic though? I knew exactly what I was getting into and was not there to see Copeland. At 15 years old and that point in their career, I wasn’t really a fan to begin with — my point was that seeing them with three other high enegy bands did almost the opposite of excite me about them, which bums me out to say now because I wound up loving Copeland later on.
I love Ixora but YAMS is one of the most special albums I’ve ever heard and every time I throw it on I feel lucky to be alive
