Thats the opposite for me, other two were love at first listen and YAMS has had to grow a bit. Fire Eater, Grey man, Suitcase, and Safest Ledge are my favorite ones now

 

It’s snowing, Ixora is perfect for this

 

ESR = YAMS > Ixora = BMT > In Motion

 

they all had to grow on me besides ixora, which had my jaw on the floor immediately

 

I think all Copeland has just kinda clicked for me. YAMS is probably tops.

 

First time I heard Ixora I was pretty disappointed, haha.

Love it. Second favourite Copeland album.

 

When I first heard it it was with someone I didn't like and I had to act like I didn't care about it to avoid having it be tainted by a shitty person. Didn't really work but then I forgot about it for a month to clean the slate and now it's all love except maybe Lavender

 

What is with you and needing to pretend to dislike things you actually like?

 

Lavender definitely is the worst song but it’s not like bad or anything.

 

I still wish I could hear a few guitar driven tunes from them every once in a while.

 

Either to get a rise out of people or to separate bad people from good things mentally lol

 

Lol Lavender is top tier for me.

As far as albums similar to YAMS, I’ve legitimately never heard anything like it. However, I tend to listen to Copeland’s music in conjunction with James Blake’s self-titled. Stuff like that.

 

What bothers me is people calling it Beneath the Medicine Tree. Isn't just Beneath Medicine Tree?

 

Lol, wow. I’ve never noticed this haha. I think I’ve just heard the “the“ for so long that that’s how I’ve read it

 

To be fair, it’s an odd title. For fans and media to make that mistake over and over is mind boggling though.

 

It's probably because of From Under the Fork Tree making people add "The" 's into titles about trees

 

It just makes more sense with the article there

Just popping in to say that, according to their posts from the fall, we should be expecting a new Copeland album this year.

Hopefully soon. I like cold weather Copeland.

 

Who else moderately enjoyed Lulls in traffic?

 

So underrated. I know people don't like the raps, but I kinda think he's great.
