Unfortunately I spoke too soon. The crowd got worse. Aaron yelled "do i have to fucking bleed for you?" In the middle of hold nothing back, and skipped right to the chorus. Made the hecklers obnoxious.
What the fuuuuck. I always figured Copeland fans were pretty nice/chill. I saw them on the Ixora tour and the crowd was good. I feel bad for the band. What was the crowd doing when Aaron yelled that? Just talking really loud, or?
I feel bad for the band, especially in an environment in which 100% of the people at the show is there to see them.
This is just so weird to me. Like, are the people doing this really there to see them? It just seems weird to go to a show just to see a band and then go out of your way to ruin the show. I guess the alternative is basically these people are a special kind of asshole, who will go so far out of their way (even spending money) just to ruin something for others. It just makes no sense to me that this stuff is happening at some shows.
In San Diego that's extremely common lol. When I saw Death Cab a couple spoke through literally every song
Honestly never really heard of crowds this bad. I can see why Aaron hates touring so much if this is a regular thing. Fucking assholes with no respect.
I agree but Aaron and the band should power through. People are always going to talk to each other. You shouldn't just stop playing a song or anything. Curious to see what happens in NYC tonight
Before he yelled that we were heading into the "In Motion" section of the set, and guys started yelling out requests. One guy yelled "Do you ever play Love Is a Fast Song," and Aaron tried to joke about it. I was right up front, you could see he was a bit annoyed at this point. When he was playing Hold Nothing Back, a group of guys just starting yelling louder than he was playing, and that frustrated him. After he said that, they yelled back that they couldn't hear him playing the song. I think there's a difference between talking during a show, and then deliberately talking over the musician during one of the quieter songs. I could hear the person's conversation from where I was standing, and I wasn't even in the same section as the guy.
Right but this was an intimate moment with just him and a guitar. AND he came back after the break and apolgized for getting frustrated and some fuckwad yelled "Grow some balls"
This is really disheartening. I wouldn't be surprised if they don't tour much after this. Really regretting not going to the Michigan show now, even if people were being awful there too. Just ugh.
They played it during the acoustic set, too. Plus, I was mainly there for Ixora/YAMS songs, so I was pretty content.
