Man. They never come to NE Ohio. Gonna try and swing the Columbus date but don't know. Funds are tight. I did the VIP set for that last tour and it's awesome. Love the idea/theme of this tour. Love this band so much.
It took me approximately 5 seconds to decide my girlfriend and I were getting tickets to the Grand Rapids show. They were amazing when I saw them last year, and it was a very special moment for her and I. I wish I could splurge for VIP but with all the fantastic shows coming up this fall I just can't justify it.
This tour announcement inspired me to binge their discography - starting tomorrow. So happy their older stuff is up on Spotify again, that makes it a lot easier on me
I just got through Beneath Medicine Tree, which now includes an alternate version of Paula and Thanks To You on Spotify. I had never heard the latter before, somehow, and I probably enjoy it more than a third of the album proper haha. Also, California might be their best song.
I noticed they included the bonus tracks on all those old albums now. Some good stuff there. I think all those songs were also on Dressed Up & In Line, which still isn't on Spotify. Probably because they didn't bother to get the rights back to that one.
Thats really cool. I never actually listened to DU&IL for whatever reason, so most of these bonus tracks will be like new songs to me.
The acoustic version of No One Really Wins is so beautiful. The full band version of that song is so beautiful.
I really do feel like that's a song that gets shoved aside a lot because it's one of the band's more straightforward rock songs, but it really is just such a great track.
I enjoy No One Really Wins. I vaguely like about 2 or 3 songs off every album from these guys, and that's about as far as it gets, I just don't get the universal love - they remind me of a mellower version of This Day and Age, who were already pretty mellow to begin with. Probably my favorite thing Aaron Marsh has done is guest vocals on "Heaven or Hell" by The Morning Of.
