are these the ones that came with the deluxe of the album? The dont slow down from this is my favorite version for sure
Does anyone have the 10-15 minute promo video that they made for In Motion? It was interviews and a little BTS stuff in the studio.
I figured something like that existed but I didn't even know that was like a verifiable thing. Another to add to the list I guess. It's kind of hard searching for this stuff; Copeland doesn't have the most unique name. Would be a huge help if YouTube or whoever implemented a way to search for videos that use specific songs in their library. Even then a ton of the live stuff wouldn't show up. Would you happen to remember where you saw this if you did?
a very big memory of taking a field trip to Toronto and buying that at a mall and jamming the Sony connect on the bus on the way back
I think it was on the militia group website originally — can’t remember where else I saw it. I remember there was a clip of a vocal take of “You Have My Attention”. Each member of the band was interviewed about the record — James wore a Danzig shirt I think in his interview and also talked about how he came up with the album art. Aaron said something along the lines of “No matter what we do in the future, In Motion will always be a special album for me personally” — which is funny because everything he has said after 2005 is that In Motion was heavily influenced by outside forces trying to increase the band’s mainstream appeal.
Ohhh, yeah probably gonna be pretty hard to find then. I'll look on the Wayback Machine but my guess is if it wasn't put anywhere else (probably was but will be a bitch to search for), we're not finding it. The Myspace is barely backed up, I doubt TMG site would be any better. You can never watch videos on there anyway.
Looked on TMG site and I couldn't find that interview. I think I found a link trying to lead to it on that Yahoo Music site, but it wasn't archived. Found a bunch of little gifs, banners, a photo + a video I didn't even know about. They made a 30-second commercial around the same time the interview came out, which aired on stations like MTV2. Didn't think the link would work, since they never do, but this one actually downloaded the video surprisingly. I'll upload it when I can.
Thank you for doing this! Gah that tour lineup is a whole core memory unlocked. Adore Lovedrug to this day especially.
That is an awesome lineup with Acceptance too. I didn’t catch that tour but saw Copeland, Lovedrug, Lydia, and Lights around 08 or 09
I also saw that tour and omg was it an all timer. The Social in Orlando. This is me 16 years ago Good times:
Hell yeah, I remember seeing this tour at the OG Masquerade in Atlanta - it had to be one of the first shows that I went to with my then-girlfriend now-wife, what a time.
I think the pairing of In Motion with Anberlin is a reasonable call - less pressure for them, bigger venues, and probably a very receptive crowd
Honestly, I feel terrible for the other dudes in Anberlin, because I can't help but think of them as being like the official Anberlin cover band now, and that's really disingenuous for the amount of work they have put in over the years. But it really is crazy how much changing the frontman makes me cool with leaving before they play.
Yeah honestly a Spitalfield / Copeland double header with an early night might not be a bad idea, but at that point I would probably watch at least some of the Anberlin set out of morbid curiosity
The In Motion 20th tour is technically real... I didn't think I'd see it. There's hope for ESR and YAMS then... Turned my day around.
while i love In Motion, i'd definitely prefer to see a full album playthrough for YAMS onward. holding out hope for an Ixora 15th anniversary tour one day.
