I've always cited that as my least favorite Copeland song, but honestly I've kind of come around to it in the last couple years. Still my least favorite, but I don't skip it anymore.
yeah, Walking Downtown is never a skip for me, but it does feel somewhat out of place with the rest of BMT, even though they're all cut from the same cloth.
I don't mind Walking Downtown, but whoever at The Militia Group decided to make it the lead single off BMT was off their rocker:
I know this song is a joke, and apologies if I've posted it in here before, but I kinda think it's top tier Copeland if you can ignore the cheese.
IIRC they're friends of the filmmaker (clearly, the film isn't meant to be taken entirely seriously) and they posted about it maybe a couple times ever. I think it was under the guise of "covering" a song that exists in the world of the film? But it has always stuck with me for some reason (the auto-tuned part especially).
Absolutely love Tears of a Child, I used to have it on my old mp3 player for years, it's probably still on it, I dig it out once in a while wnen I go skating and want to listen to some music without breaking my phone getting my ass off the ground so many times, so there's that. That song probably doesn't fit those sessions hahh, but I really love it hahah, haven't heard it in a while, not to mention the video clip!
Just listened through Blushing all the way through for the first time in a while. It’s actually perfect? I loved every song. I remember feeling slightly let down by this when it first came out, which feels wild, but I guess Icora set up some real impossible expectations. The really subtle additions of more modern pop production choices really gives it a different feel from their other albums.
Anyone one here at the Anberlin show last night or going tonight? He's opening and I'm curious if he has or will mention anything about new music.
