... But real talk, ICMYFYA is probably my favorite song the band has ever written right alongside Should You Return. Scary thing is, the live version was even better. The rhythm change into that unreal chorus and the main riff all sounded HUGE. Not using hyperbole when I say it’s one of the greatest things I’ve heard. Love that song.
I played yams Ixora and blushing yesterday and all are amazing haha. May be one of my favorite 3 album runs that exist.
I'm in the same boat. Even when I am not listening to the album my mind keeps thinking about the chorus in Lay Here, the verses in As Above, So Alone, the chorus in Night Figures, the bridge in Colorless and random parts in On Your Worst Day. I don't think I've had this happen on any of their other records and I really love YAMS/Ixora.
Yeah, it’s so much more ROCK. It was super satisfying because my buddy hadn’t heard Blushing yet so we drove around listening afterward. It was two very different but awesome experiences with the same band in one night.
I've been doing a DEEP dive into their back catalog. (I became a huge fan with Ixora and a few Sunshine tracks.) I can't stop listening to Beneath Medicine Tree haha. Each track is just so damn good. I'm planning to give each album 3-4 complete listens before moving onto the next. Insane how good they are.
I love how on Apple Music it repeats the album. The other night while playing some Gears of War I think it played 5 or 6 times and I was just in total bliss.
In the minority here, but this is the first Copeland album I've heard. Blushing is by far my favorite release so far of 2019 and I can't wait to dig into this discography. Feel blessed almost for missing out so far that I can go back and enjoy these other records for the first time.
listening to all of the records today. the last four songs of ESR are really something else. underrated run in their discog
god i could listen to when you thought you’d never stand out over and over and over forever they’re gonna come to light tonight
Anyone have an absolute favorite track run? Could be any Copeland album Off the top of my head my go to 1-2-3 is Strange and Unprepared, What Do I Know? And Not So Tough Found Out. I could almost tack on Not Allowed but Side C for that record really is too perfect. Have to go back to Blushing, still not had a really great sit down listen yet
