Ya know, now that I think about it, if this wasn’t a clue to the next-level sonic brilliance they’ve just achieved on Blushing then I don’t know what is.
It’s a cool feature, if only they made the blended version accessible to the public. Ixora Twin is, in my opinion, a snooze compared to the original so I’d have no reason to check that out on its own. The blended version is only on youtube so the quality is mehhh. I’ve only heard it once or twice.
I wish there was a version that mixed the two, as well as a mix of Times of Grace with the Tribes of Neurot album. Either way, the 4 speaker experience of both albums is awesome
I would totally be down for an instrumental version of this album as well. Some of these tracks sort of have a lofi hip hop quality to them and I could easily see myself using it as study/background music.
It was beautiful. But in ATL it was also the only time the crowd was infamously loud as I’ve heard often happens during Copeland shows.
Yeah it was terrific for us for the most part. That was the only off moment. They seemed pretty blown away by the crowd by the end, but they blew us away so...
What did you think of Many Rooms? I thought it was cool bringing a backing band for the first time. Loved the medley of Hurt and story behind Danielle.
Still haven’t gotten a really great listen and can’t really even remember what I’ve heard to recall it but I like the bits and pieces my mind can remember. Oddly fine with bc that makes me think of dreams I’ve had and how this album conjure up dream imagery...so I’m on board!
I thought she was very solid. I think the biggest issue for me is FIL and Copeland are two of my favorite bands and they both absolutely nailed it so there wasn’t a lot I remembered about her show by the end. It made me want to revisit There Is a Presence here though.
The first six tracks on this album are so damn good. Haven't got into the final five as easily - there are parts I love, parts I'm indifferent too. Still, I think this album is wonderfully crafted.
