Not as bad as I’d feared, although this one group of girls got really loud near the end when he played a piano version of Skywriter. Overall though, it was pretty electric.
Yes. Packed. Two. Both sounded great and a bit more rock than EFBN if the live versions are any indicator. FIL sounded perfect and I was honestly as if not more excited to see them. When they played I thought, “Wow, that’s an intimidating opening act.” Then Copeland made them look like one. It was amazing.
Crazy thing is how huge they sounded. We could have been in an arena and I wouldn’t have known the difference. I wanted to go back and listen to the whole thing when they were done which I don’t think I’ve ever felt at a show.
"you never kiss me when we're dancing, you just grab my shoulders to try and wake me up" damn, alright, and i'm crying now
I know everyone is on Blushing but I’m happy to report that Ixora is now 100% engraved in my mind. Listened 10 times in the last 36 hours
Night Figures is so much better than I remembered... I definitely thought it was good when it came out but right now I am stuck on it.
I'm glad FIL got their stuff cleaned up, they were having some equipment problems when I saw them the opening night and it was a bummer. New songs sounded pretty great!
Knowing that I have the album, but my wife won’t let me listen to it without her until she’s home from work at 10pm is killing me. I cannot wait.
Me before Ixora came out: “I am really excited, but I just don’t know how they could possibly top You Are My Sunshine. It’s perfect.” Copeland: Me before Blushing came out: “I am really excited, but I just don’t know how they could possibly top Ixora. It’s perfect.” Copeland:
Me before I bothered to listen to Copeland again after over a decade: Me after teebs badgered me into giving this a spin:
