You're misreading - this is soft confirmation that Deafheaven's new record is out August 23rd. (They signed to Roadrunner last year.) Converge likely remain on Epitaph/Deathwish.

 

Do we know if it’s converge or Blood Moon converge? I may be in the minority…but I really couldn’t get into Blood Moon and converge is one of my favs!

Yeah there must be some legal holdup, otherwise it would have been repressed in a couple hundred variants in the decade since.

i see no reason to not believe this, who on earth would even think to fake a new converge album and for what real benefit. "we were never the same" they have been playing live and length matches. "doom in bloom" seemingly absent (unless retitled), but that doesn't mean anything considering the last couple of albums have had deluxe versions. they supposedly recorded 17 this time.
