speaking of kurt’s playing how tough is the riff toward the end of bad faith

 

i gotta say even though this particular record is not connecting with me crazy hard its nice to be listening to so much converge again. just such an absolutely wild catalog

 

Jane Doe, No Heroes and Petitioning the Empty Sky are their only S tier albums for me. They're all obviously very good, but those three just hit different.

 

my s tier would be jane, yfm, axe, and awlwlb. no heroes is super underrated though i love the pacing on that album

 

The Dusk in Us holds up better than I've seen basically anyone in here say - 2017 album of the year by a landslide and I ran it back recently, absolutely fucking brilliant still.

 

Not listened to TDIU since it came out, don't remember much about it. Will revisit it later.

 

Absolutely perfect release timing helped it out further imo, just a quintessential gloomy winter record.

 

was really underwhelmed by Dusk when it came out, I wonder if I'd enjoy it more now. still insane to me how dirty they did Eve smh

 

It only doesn't belong on the record because of the title track being another seven-minute song in a similar mode, an incredible song otherwise.

 

if that is the case then imo Eve should have made the cut and the title track shoulda got b-sided, the former is like... very significantly better lmao. just my take

 

eh ive always chucked eve on at the end even with the title track being there lol

 

Converge has been a blind spot for me, even if I listened to Jane, Axe, All We Love many times in college since I needed to be a student of the genre. Hopefully Love might be the one to change my outlook, like Private Music last year?

Yeah JD, YFM, ATF and all S tier for me. TDIU is probably my least favorite but they still have a track like I can tell you about pain that is an S tier converge song

 

listening to AWLWLB and man the title track is one of the most devastatingly sad hardcore song ever haha

 

the awlwb title track, the jane doe title track and the you fail me title track are my top 3 converge songs. all just absolutely insane

revisiting dusk and finding it less consistent than i remembered, but murk and marrow is a huge winner for me. that track is insane
