are we still lucky to be here? Prestigious

On first listen, it's probably my favorite of their albums since Axe To Fall. All killer, no filler.

  4. Album's good, but as with any Converge first listen I'm in "yep sounds like Converge" mode until I do a couple more listens

Ok, got almost all of it in on a drive. First impressions are that it’s good. It is a converge album for sure. Not a big fan of this late career tour into craft beer riffs (see “Amon Amok” on this record), but it’s hard to show that kind of intensity when you’re pushing 50. Solid Converge playlist fodder on here.

In my opinion, their last GREAT song was I Can Tell You About Pain

i do agree though that off of my first jam this is mostly just another converge album for me. i think they oversold the intensity on this

Yeah, this was their first album where I can hear their age somehow. It's a little more "rock n' roll" sounding at times, pushing into Mutoid Man territory musically.

    Yeah, this album rules.

The little thrashy bits they throw in here and there are a nice touch.

Also love that it never really lets up, even “Beyond Repair” is brutal in its own right–“That riff made me feel terrible about myself.”–and it charges right through until the end.

Really enjoying this. I don't think at their age it's logical to expect them to whip out another Concubine or Trespasses but they've settled in very nicely in this sort of late style. My favorite albums are the ones where I could go for one more song but am simultaneously kind of glad it's not there bc there's no fat. also Bad Faith fuckin whips cheeks

I just hate it's only 30 minutes. They said they went into the studio and did like 20 something songs.....so hopefully we either get an EP or next LP really soon. Really interested to see what else they did.

Jane Doe not being is S is insane. When it comes to any kind of heavy music, it’s a top 5 album. Maybe even top 3.
