yeah, y'all are too harsh on Bloodmoon (my partner and i are big Chelsea Wolfe fans, so this was kind of a gateway into Converge, tbh)

Band's been insanely consistent for over 30 years, it's wild. Echoing that they have no bad albums

I will say the music video for the new song should have an epilepsy warning at the start, that one part in the middle goes crazy with it

 

Poacher diaries is still one of their best

 

im not crazy about bloodmoon myself but i revisited it a few days ago because of this and it is def better than i gave it credit. def a cool album

dusk has grown off me a bit over the years, think the variety occasionally comes as the cost of consistency so i can kinda see why its not really held up as a better album of theirs, but i think its a bit underrated regardless and holds a lot of their best moments

feel like when forever and petitioning are also a little overlooked these days, particularly the former which is absolutely vicious. really love that album

 

I don’t think I’ve ever listened to Bloodmoon

all of their pre-Jane Doe stuff is sick because it has this eerie, raw quality that I really miss in their music, I think it’s time for a discography run through

 

Welp, now I need to run through their disco.

 

There were some rumors of a Converge/Deafheaven tour a while back, was that complete BS or could that materialize at some point?

there wasn't any substantial evidence beyond a reddit claim. but around the same time they had to postpone dates because of kurt's foot injury, so if it was actually in the works, that probably derailed it.
