On my first listen - gives me the same vibe as LINE, in that it's the first set of Converge recordings where I don't get the sense they're pushing themselves in any new directions. Pure meat-and-potatoes Converge.
that first track is something else. seems just as mathy as the stuff they were doing in the early 00s
gonna need some time to fully digest this and pick it apart, plus i’ll be spending more time with love is not enough again to fully contextualize it since it’s been a minute. but my first impressions are that this is extremely good shit
