A damn shame, the man is easily one of the all time greatest metal and hardcore drummers that ever sat behind the kit. I hope he gets better than later.

As an Australian, the idea of having to crowdfund medical expenses is just fucking horrific. And seeing the stories of this reality spun into heartwarming feelgood stories about success rather than being symbolic of the awfulness of privatised health by media outlets is disgusting. All that said, this is heartbreaking. Converge are the greatest band ever, Ben Koller is one of the greatest drummers in modern music and just, I hope he heals from this and gets to do what he loves.
