I wonder how the rest of this album will sound. Will we get any fast/aggressive or is this going to be mostly lumbering and heavy like Blood Moon?
Given where Chelsea Wolfe's sound is historically, I expect it to be a slower dirge of a post-metal release, which I'm all for. This is a sound I've been wanting Converge to explore a bit more with a full release for the last decade so it'll hopefully scratch that itch. That said, I won't be disappointed if I'm proven wrong, and we get some faster tracks.

been hoping he'd be on for a while. hell yeah. gonna save it for a long drive this weekend, can't wait.
a lot of insight into the creation of it in the Facebook comments from Jacob too https://www.facebook.com/converge/posts/407622584064359
It's here, go go go! I'm on the second half and blown away so far. What an unexpected but successful collaborative project it is. Lord of Liars is... wild. It's so different for both Converge and Chelsea Wolfe. Failure Forever is on right now and I can already tell it's going to be one of my favorites. Stephen just soars on it, and it's so melodic and uplifting compared to Converge's usual material. edit: Crimson Stone is stunning... I already want them to make more albums together if it means we could get more stuff like this.
Wow the Pitchfork review is awful, and it turns out it's by the same person who wrote their awful Code Orange review Still gotta listen to this but I'm excited
honestly the worst part was saying how bad Chelsea is and suggesting singers that could have replaced her, like whatever if you don't like the album but that just feels super unnecessary.
not to mention the album wouldn’t have happened without her and ben, altogether lol. it’s not like converge was just trying out singers lol.
