    With the Spellmans involved as head writers and executive producers, I have an inkling of a notion of a thought that this could be not totally tone deaf and in poor taste, but either way it's still not a good look for HBO to allow the two white dudes who consistently mishandle rape on GoT to do this.

    In a broad sense yes. They are both Alternate History about what would have happened had the outcome of a war been different. But I wouldn't think the plot lines would be very similar, considering it's WW2 vs the American Civil War.
