i went there for the first time a couple months ago, i got a nice lil haul and luckily everything fit in my backpack for my flight home
ITS so good, i found their fallen star comp not long ago used as well. plus i love the case for hello control, its shaped like a composition book.
I found out I’m inheriting a multi hundred/well curated CD collection this weekend. Will keep you guys updated.
Yeah I didn’t know Amoeba could ship but that’s good to know. I haven’t visited them in 4 years which is wild since they’re one of my favorite record stores
I was fully insomniac last night and watched some CD sellers on WhatNot. Cannot do that often. That is a dangerously easy way to spend money
Never got into their other stuff, but that Trivium album was one of the best metalcore albums of the decade.
I have 800+ cds from the 90s rock scene to the 00s emo/screamo. It kills me how much some of these cds are worth. Someone offered me $75 for an MSI cd! Are there albums from like the 00s emo scene that are worth a decent amount? Anyone looking for specific cds? I have stuff I may be willing to part ways with as I have an upcoming master bathroom reno. Who would have thought CDs I bought 20-30 years ago as a teen would help me as an adult lol
I’d def take a look at a list! As time goes on this stuff just gets rarer and rarer to find in good condition. It’s like with old jazz records from the 50-60’s: they are so old now that just finding a John Coltrane record in bad condition can run you 20-25 bucks
I mean, I sure as heck dont have a list of 800+ cds made, but if there are specific things you are looking for. I have a ton of drive thru, victory, trust kill, vargrant, stuff. Basically anything that was in AP magazine from like 2002-2007.
Yeah I’ve been watching some CD auctions on WhatNot and emo stuff doesn’t come up much at all. Did a double take when someone pulled Bleachers
I've been scouring Discogs for 00s "scene" stuff and there doesn't seem to be a ton of it in good condition for reasonable prices. I sometimes forget that a lot of those albums didn't actually sell very many copies compared to bigger bands of that era.
yeah I would be so curious to know how many of these actually got made. I know a guy who used to work at tooth and nail so I’m going to call and find out
