Posted this in the Anberlin thread because someone was asking about it, so I figured I’d share it here. Included in the Cities CD:
okay yeah here we go the area around the cuts used to be pristine and I'm sure if I'd like put this in a protective bag it would've stayed that way, but I like how it's aged over the last 14 years. Also feel very lucky to have gotten the "stay true" epigraph
Was so unexpected! Been a fan for a long time but I mostly prefered their latter stuff. I got really into that album in recent years so I grabbed it right away once I noticed the album cover
Oh yeah that's what I remember the artwork looking like. Curious to know if it's a regional thing, having different editions for different countries like that was all the rage in the 00s
That reminds me of something else. In Germany and the Netherlands they put out regional versions of songs in the 00s, like remixes or with rap verses replaced with verses by local rappers and stuff like that. Was that a thing in France? There was an amazing German version of John Legend - Number One with Max Herre instead of Kanye, but I can’t find it anywhere online. I do have the MP3 still though. The CD single is also still out there.
Pretty sure it was, even if I don't have other examples in mind other than the pop hit below as I type this. I'll have to look into it, stuff likes this fascinates me!
I got a CD player on Amazon with a built in fm transmitter and usb-c charging, probably much easier than replacing your car's CD player, assuming the radio still works https://a.co/d/5jExb1m
I bought this one in 2013 and it's been great: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004UR487A/?tag=absolutepunk-20
