Might be interested in this. It would be surprisingly few duplicates for how much our tastes overlap.
been going pretty all in on the cd collecting this year, reflecting back and this is how we're lookin at least re: post hardcore typa stuff. gotta say ive loved getting in touch with physical media again, really brings me back
damn Damone what a throw back. they opened for Less Than Jake years ago and killed it, I got to find mine!
I bought a new CD for the first time in well over a decade and pulling that plastic off was quite a throwback.
That Pete yorn album is such a CD album and it is perfect on the most perfect level. Just stone cold killer tunes on that
A new record store opened nearby and they had a few scene related gems I had never stumbled upon before, even back in the day. Just got one of my favorite Thrice albums this time!
Just realized I forgot to post these. Went to the Bay Area over my holiday break and picked these up from the Amoeba Records in Berkeley and SF (I am mad at myself because it turns out I already have that Everybody Hurts single, so now I have two copies. There’s two different versions of it with different track listings, both of which were at the Amoeba in Berkeley and I grabbed the one I already have. Ugh)
canceled my apple music subscription, bought a cd player and am in the process of buying an album when i have an urge to listen to a song on said album. in its own minuscule way, it feels in opposition to something...as well as truly subversive and exhilarating delayed gratification. glad to be back.
I posted this in The Maine thread too, but Newbury Comics has autographed copies of Joy Next Door up for pre-order: The Maine-Joy Next Door CD (Autographed) | Newbury Comics
