An inconsequential shift as the continents drift.

I've still only found the one so far, but it's a fairly significant difference:

    - opening scene on the DVD is pretty quick, Chang scribbles something on the board and tells the class to leave. everything in the Netflix version up to Chang kissing Annie on the head was totally new to me

    - a bit of Duncan dialogue in the cafeteria scene is missing on the DVD, from memory when he calls Annie an 8 (which is a British 10) and when he asks her for a fiver

    - his reaction to her hand-over-face thing (idk what to call this lol) in the classroom. on Netflix he just says something like "let's do this", on the DVD he says "ooh I like that, that's very good"

    - the last line of Troy's freakout ("there's so much dust in here!") isn't on the DVD. can't believe they cut this one lol it's absolutely gold

worth noting my s1 DVD does actually have an extended cut of the Valentine's Day episode too, though it's a bonus feature and the regular episode plays from the menu. maybe there's a few alternate cuts in existence and Netflix just has one for 1x4? who knows, mystery, *et cheterra*

The Netflix version is the shortened, syndicated version. The Hulu version has the originally aired episodes, I believe

Oh yeah, I think it's been on Hulu the longest. I was definitely watching it on there while season 6 was actively airing on Yahoo

Yeah I remember back in the day, post season 4, people were like “well at least we got that October 19th commercial. It’s always October 19th.”

Also worth noting that the Dean’s line about giving Annie’s Boobs his own show is referencing that same fall season when NBC released the show Animal Practice starring Crystal, the monkey who played Annie’s Boobs.

haha so confused, what's the significance of the 19th?

Season four was originally supposed to premiere on October 19th, but at the last minute the network pulled the rug out from under the fans again and instead moved it to February. That’s why the Halloween episode is placed so early on in the season as it was originally meant to be aired just a handful of days before Halloween. Instead it aired on Valentines Day and became referred to as the “Valloween” episode.

My unpopular Community Christmas opinion is that the season one episode is the best one.

    To anyone who disagrees..."SUP?"

that's a reasonable take I think. Troy teaching Jeff how to fight is easily one of the funniest scenes in the whole show

I think I agree, I don’t remember that episode very well but I’m not crazy about AUC and the season 3 one. Mid season 1 the show is really hitting its stride.
