Lol I was so glad he finally explained those characters he did. They didn't even seem that "non-PC" like the cast kept saying. It was more just childish, sexual humor haha. I was expecting some wildly offensive stuff
I was giggling pretty hard when Donald told Joel that aliens are going around chopping off penises, so he should hide his in his mouth.
Jeeze you can really tell how the show was trying to please Chevy in S4 Really tried to paint him as the misunderstood, wise old man
“I’ve been suffering from hallucinations. I saw a doctor...There was no doctor” is so good. Like a Harris Wittels joke
it's kinda weird that one of the only later episodes which actually gives dimensions to Britta is in the season Harmon wasn't involved in
It's so weird/cool to me that that tweet has over 1000 favorites, it really feels like this show is taking off now that it's on Netflix just like I hoped it would. People say this show is too weird to be truly mainstream but I really disagree, the characters are so relatable and the humor is so creative but still accessible outside of a couple episodes. Always thought it had potential to be huge outside of its cult following and I'm so happy I'm being proved right
It is really wild that literally nobody in the study group/save Greendale committee even brings this up once heh
Man season 4 is S bad as I remember. I didn’t remember that the puppet dialogue sounds like absolute garbage. I wonder how they recorded it and why they chose it. Cause wow does it stand out as sounding of far less quality from everything else.
I really hate how much people gravitate to the pirate thing, I always looked at it as a throwaway joke
Watched the Christmas glee episode last night.. one of my favorites! It’s insane how often those songs come into my brain on a regular basis
Finished up Season 4 yesterday. Man that was a struggle. There were like 2 or 3 great episodes in there, though. It was weird how they handled Pierce that season, too. Like someone said earlier, at some points they would randomly try to paint him as this kind but misunderstood man (the barber shop episode, saying he was going to sensitivity training and donating his kidney to Gilbert), but there were so many episodes where he just doesn't appear. Chevy clearly had his foot out the door.
Pretty sure he was already out the door before season 4 had even finished filming, so him not being in some is no surprise.
Yeah, McHale talks about scenes where he would literally vanish because he didn't show up to finish. Wrapped up season one again last night.
