For science, I'm NOT skipping season 4 during my rewatch like I usually do.

It is...painful. But it's for science. When people ask me why it's bad, I want to have more descriptive examples.

Finished my rewatch. I feel empty.

Season 4 definitely isn't as bad as my memory thought it was, but it's still definitely the weakest.

still one of the best shows ever.

season 4 of community is better than the last season of Parks & Rec.

That last season has missteps but is still light years better, imo

 

weird take, the last season of Parks and Rec wasn't bad at all, it was incredibly solid

I can’t separate how i feel about the (bad) politics of P&R, which almost certainly don’t matter to the show itself. It just tanks it for me. I’m the problem here.

 

The (imo) awfulness of Andy’s karate show or whatever the fuck it was is basically Community season 4 squeezed into one terrible episode.

 

like, remember how Leslie gives the poor half of Pawnee to Facebook as tribute

 

honestly didn’t know people had issues with the final parks season, much less hated

p&r and community have my favorite sitcom endings of all time. More than The Good Place, even

 

Good Place, 30 Rock, Community are the good finales. Community is my favorite of them.

So, the Russos are doing a watch along on of Endgame on IG live and Yvette Nicole Brown just randomly said “Community Movie!!”, so it’s safe to assume she’s on board haha

You think Chevy (somehow) and Donald would come back for a film?

 

Chevy is definitely not coming back, and even if he wanted to the writers would never spend the time trying to fit him back in. He's just such a universally disliked person that any excitement over Pierce coming back would be overshadowed by the bad PR.

Donald, yeah maybe. I can't see him being a main character - he's just not in that phase of his career anymore, and I don't think he really enjoys this type of comedy either - but I'd be surprised if he didn't at least cameo.
