I guess but imagine if you didn’t find that stuff funny. In that case, it feels like half the series is unfunny ramblings.
I just feel like watching Community when you don't enjoy the meta-humour is like... watching The Simpsons if you despise the animation style. You'll probably still get a few laughs, but why even bother?
Yeah, I don't mean any judgement because we all have our own tastes in TV, but Abed might be my favorite and arguably the one cast member this show could not survive without
I don’t know, he almost never made me laugh. And the emotional moments he was involved in, I felt more for the other characters than him but that’s probably because his humor annoyed me.
I wouldn’t say that’s a good comparison though. Disliking the animation means you actively dislike the entire runtime. It would be more like you can’t stand Bart or Homer. It’s a big part but not 100% of it.
Just watched Herstory of Dance for the first time since I first saw it (I think) and I forgot how good the Abed/Rachel scenes were. Brie Larson is so good in that role.
The fact the puppet episode is the next one is the perfect example of how all over the place series 4 is.
Part of the reason for this is that the production order is pretty different compared to the order in which they were aired. From writer Tim Saccardo: So with his notes about the Halloween episode and the puppet episode, the order would look a little more like this: 1.) History 101 2.) Alternative History of the German Invasion 3.) Paranormal Parentage 4.) Conventions of Space and Time 5.) Cooperative Escapism in Familial Relations 6.) Economics of Marine Biology 7.) Herstory of Dance 8.) Advanced documentary Filmmaking 9.) Intro to Knots 10.) Basic Human Anatomy 11.) Intro to Felt Surrogacy 12.) Heroic Origins 13.) Advanced Introduction to Finality
I like Herstory of Dance, the Freaky Friday episode and the Halloween episode a lot tbh. (The "ghosts can't do through doors stupid, they're not fire" callback is goddamn exquisite). Intro to Knots is also pretty funny although it runs out of steam a bit towards the end
CHRIIIIIIIIIISTMAAAAAAAS!!! I got a Christmas time for me! I got a Christmas time for a tree! Me so Christmas! Me so merry!
Wow lol how did I never notice that the show implied that Chang got his ex wife pregnant in "Bondage and Beta Male Sexuality" and it was never followed up on!? (She calls him on the phone, apparently starts yelling at him, and he just yells back "This isn't happening to YOU this is happening to US!")

Haven't been on here in a minute, but I took note of this last time and finally looked it up again. Yes, such a great episode!
Anyone listen to the podcast Joel McHale and Ken Jeong do? Only been 4 episode, but I love how they play off each other. Very funny too.
Yeah they don't talk as much about Community as I would have liked but it's still been really funny, and has had Gillian and Danny on briefly so far
