Yeah I think it could really go either way. I felt they wrapped it up enough with a nice little reveal at the end of Vol. 2, but they could also expand on it and work with new ideas.
Sweet, I plan on picking up vol 2 sometime soon and then grabbing WW and Superman. My main issue was that I don't really know the intent of the Earth one stories, whether they're starting brand new continuous stories or if they set out to fulfill a specific narrative arc. Oh and @Deanna I started Batman and Robin Eternal...Only read the first issue but the story seems really cool. Wondering what the hell Batman was doing at the end of the issue.
They'd don't seem to cross over at all into any sort of continuity. Like the Teen Titans one only had one other DC character in it really. I think I ended up giving both vols 3/5 on Goodreads, but that's still a decent story for me. Just wasn't anything that completely blew me away but I liked it.
Yeah I noticed that, not expecting anything too special but I'm running out of Batman related new 52 stuff, haha. If you come across the trades for Batman: Eternal at your library I'd definitely recommend grabbing that, loved that whole story and it's a good 52 issues.
I'll go look them up! Might take a little Batman break though and get through The Wicked + The Devine Vol. 1 and maybe some other Image trades I have.
Nicola Scott is a judge on Cake Wars right now. The theme is Wonder a Woman'a 75th anniversary. Super cool.
Have him try Skullkickers or Pathfinder. May enjoy those I feel like you and I are on the same comic urges lately haha! TT:Earth 1 Vol 2 I just checked out from library and also have Batman:Earth One Vol 2 as well and recently read WW:Earth One. Read Gotham Academy Vol 1 today. Thought it was incredible and fresh, loved everything about it! Reading Vol 2 tomorrow! Watching this too! Scott is one of my favorites so really cool to see!
Never read or played it myself but know what it is. Jim Zub writes both so if he tries it and likes it have him try SK.
Hah we are! I loved Gotham Academy. Super fun story. I didn't see volume 2 of TT at my library unfortunately. I'll have to check the others.
As someone who loved the Fraction/Wu arc of Kate Bishop in LA, enjoys what he's read of Kelly Thompson's writing, and loves Jordie Bellaire coloring, I'm quite interested in this series: http://io9.gizmodo.com/kate-bishop-...&utm_source=io9_twitter&utm_medium=socialflow At a time when I'm always wondering if I should cut down on my pull, I have two Hawkeye-centric titles vying for my attention (the other being Occupy Avengers). Stop being so dang good, Marvel, gosh.
I'm realizing that I have no time for my books anymore. Picked up a few this weekend, but not sure when I'm going to get to read more than one a week. I got through Tomb Raider this week. It was a nice follow up to the first game. Looking forward to getting the second trade. I got through Tomb Raider this week. It was a nice follow up to the first game. Looking forward to getting the second trade. Gail. I can probably skip Superheavy since I've already gotten through it. Just trying to fill up that Batman shelf at this point. lol Starting that Southern Bastards trade. Book is sooooo good.
Not sure if you guys listened to the Encore episode about free time, but Henry's comment reminded me of the episode. How highly do you guys prioritize comic reading time compared to other things you do in your spare time like watching movies, video games, TV shows, etc?
Comics are tough for me if I can't fully engage. Usually I'll play video games, watch a tv show, and have music playing all at the same time. My brain works way too fast for me to only concentrate on one thing. A lot of times, comics will be my break from work in the bathroom. That probably makes little sense, but its my schtick.
It's all mood-based, but I try to do more comic-reading when chilling by myself because those make less sense to do with friends than, say, movies or television. Music and podcasts tend to be relegated to driving time; listening to less music at home and adding podcasts into the mix has dramatically reduced the amount of new music I listen to. I'm not into video games besides hitting up my sister's Mario Maker on occasion, usually with my nephew. Right now, I mostly alternate between comics and Gilmore Girls, which I'm watching for the first time and in love with.
Not having a real job gives me a lot of free time. Lately I had been on a binge of comics from the library but I returned the two I had today and managed not to check anymore out to actually read through the one's I've bought and neglected on my shelf. I tend to listen to an insane amount of podcasts, but like I said, no job gives me a lot of time so I tend to listen to those all day as I do other things. Unless I'm watching tv, there's probably a podcast or music playing.
This is totally me haha. It's a problem because I tend to keep buying more and more despite not having read what I already have in my backlog.
I slowly assembled all of 52 in $1 back issues...but have read literally none of it, lol. That's probably my next big back issue reading venture after classic New Mutants (not sure how far in I'll go yet) and classic Spider-Woman.
A lot of times I'll read during my hour lunch break. Can tend to read through a full 6 issue or less trade. For me as @Tim said it's all about mood and what I particularly feel like doing at a given time. I listen to music/audiobooks solely during my work day and in my car not really any other time. TV shows we tend to watch every night and try to get as caught up as possible but a lot of that hinges on what my wife feels like watching and when ha! My video game/comic book time tends to come after my son goes to bed before I go to sleep but my obsessions come in spurts so right now I'm not really playing any VG and reading a lot of graphic novels.

52 is probably my favorite event/series of all time. It's a must read if you're into a lot of the lesser known heroes in the DC world and I love the real time/weekly element while it still is one continuous story. Just a heads up though if it's something you decide to read, you have to go all in and commit to the whole thing. It really doesn't have arcs in the normal sense as much as tons of storylines that start at the beginning and come together in the end so you can't just read a couple issues just to see if you like it and expect to get a lot but it's totally worth it for fans of Booster Gold, The Question, Black Adam, Starfire, Animal Man, Steel, the Metal Men, and a lot more that I won't spoil.
52 is beyond wonderful. I haven't revisited it since it was published, so maybe some of the shine comes off when read in one sitting, but I can assure you that reading that thing weekly was just an incredible experience. I am really bad about prioritizing my comic book reading. I usually only read comics for a few hours, 2-3 days out of the month. I will just get a big backlog of my "must read" comics and try to catch up in big chunks. It is what comes from my new life as an attorney, who is planning a wedding, and was given a PS4 for his birthday.
