Oh man, hah, this changes a lot, and would probably be way different if I sat down to really think about it ... but ... off the top of my head ... Batman: The Long Halloween Y: The Last Man Hawkeye (Faction) Watchmen Scott Pilgrim Maus Astonishing X-Men (Whedon, Cassaday) Kingdom Come Ultimate Spidey #1-13. Daredevil (Bendis, Maleev)
Nice! I've made my way through Hawkeye, Watchmen, and Maus off this list. Read Book 1 of Y: The Last Man but need to make my way through more of it. I'll have to see if Marvel Unlimited has the Bendis run of DD but I feel like they won't for some reason haha. Will definitely check out the others.
Well that is definitely useful to know! I did know it's like 6 months behind on new stuff but I have a long list in my library to read so that's not a huge issue for me.
Oh yeah. Once I dive into stuff, I tend to do the same. Found the Bendis and Maleev run so that'll likely jump towards the top of my list.
DC kindly sent me a physical copy of Batman Vol. 8: Superheavy for review since my ebook copy refused to open. Haven't read any of Snyder's run yet though. Probably should have done that sooner hah.
I need to re-read Fraction/Aja Hawkeye. All the delays towards the end (especially the final issue) really killed a lot of the momentum of what was seriously a truly great run.
Reading ultimate spiderman (miles) again at the moment and in the divided we fall/United we stand event. Holy crap the art is bad for ultimates.
You don't need to have read previous stories to know what's going on really. Snyder is good about making each arc accessible and they don't necessarily correlate. who do you review for?
Yeah that's what I figured. I recently decided I'd try out reviewing comics over on my site HiFi Noise. I have a few other ebooks for review right now like The Imitation Game and Cyborg Vol. 1, so I should have at least a few reviews within the next couple weeks.
I need to buy some trades. I can't afford to follow week to week and if I get digital comics I just forget about them
so my order is arriving on monday :D but he just said if he gets digital he forgets about them? i'm confused haha
@Henry, I just looked at the comments on that Marguerite Bennett video, and holy crap, I had no idea so many people were this irrationally upset about the "[unsolicited opinions on Israel]" joke in Angela. People can be such petulant children sometimes. She was rumored to be the DC Rebirth Wonder Woman writer before the followup rumor that she lost that job to Greg Rucka. If true, that happening so close to the end of the Angela title is the worst.
I rarely mess with my tablet and my phone is too small to read comics on. I have digital comics I never got around to reading mostly because if it's not a physical thing I'll forget about it
I am now awake. I liked reading comics off of the iPad when I had the marvel unlimited subscription. Very much enjoy the panel to panel scrolling feature, helps me immerse myself more.
