Do you know if we're getting more Umbrella Academy? Completely understand! Hope you enjoy FP. Probably the best event I've read.
A book that I really enjoy that does not seem to get a lot of love is "They're Not Like Us". It kind of has that "more sinister X-Men" vibe. And the colors are beautiful.
So I'm still going to read Flashpoint next, hopefully starting it today, but I did hit up another library for comics. Picked up All Star Superman, Superman For All Seasons, and Batman and Robin Vol. 1 Born to Kill. Edit: All Star Superman is just volume 1. No clue if the library has volume 2 since I didn't realize it wasn't just the full collection haha.
Picked up Ostrander's Suicide Squad War Crimes special and World Of Tanks since Garth Ennis wrote it.
Gail Simone's...Read Villains United, Sex Degrees of Devastation and now I'm at the end of Unhinged which is like my favorite thing ever. I think Junior might be my favorite villain.
Read Flashpoint yesterday and loved it. Making me a little more hopeful for this season of Flash even if it just briefly affects it. Now I'm going to dig into Batman and Robin Vol. 1 Born to Kill.
I read all of that Batman and Robin run and most of it is pretty meh, but Born to Kill is pretty good. The really great one is The Big Burn which tells a different Two Face origin, I definitely recommend that one. Funny thing is Robin isn't even in it.
Haha that is odd. I think the library only had volume one but I'll double check it. I'm done with the first 4 issues and it's felt just okay to me.
I got this figure of Thor's sister for real cheap. I love this Marvel character! (When I see Angela figures with my brother, I always say, "Look, Thor's sister!" He always sighs. I always say that it gets funnier every time. He always says it doesn't. But, it does.)
Justice League, Suicide Squad Will Collide in Comics Miniseries (Exclusive Art Reveal) "Quarterly events." Um. I love Marvel. I relentlessly defend their event strategy. I though DC's Rebirth was a much-needed breath of fresh air. But, I don't like the sound of "quarterly events" even a little. Hopefully they're defining that loosely and will have some small "events" in that schedule.
I know this is for the TV shows but felt like this was a more central place to post it. A few hours left in the poll if anyone wants to decide what two shows I'll review haha.
I'm way too invested in Secret Six and get heartbroken like every issue when someone betrays the rest of the team.
Latest trip to the library resulted in Blackest Night, Blackest Night: Tales of the Corps, and Incognito. Loved Superman For All Seasons and All-Star Superman Vol. 1. Was meh on Batman and Robin Vol. 1 Born to Kill.
I picked up these two fun comics yesterday. The one is an unfinished Stan Lee/Jack Kirby story that was finished decades later, and the other is a Stan Lee "last Fantastic Four story" illustrated by good ol' John Romita Jr. I started the latter and really enjoy the mix of classic Lee F4 writing and modern JRJR visuals.
