Saga is perfect. Every time I think I might be over it, something happens that pulls me right back in.
Finished up The Dark Knight Returns today. Loved that perspective on Batman. It was a library copy, but I just might have to go buy myself one. Some cool extras in the 30th anniversary edition, too.
It's moved around now but that was my favorite Bat's story for a bit. I love the way the Joker story plays out.
Oh definitely, it's the same with Two Face, I thought Miller did a great job of sort of "book-ending" these villains for us in so few frames, something you rarely get in continuity.
Yep! I feel like I could read Batman comics all day haha. But I think next will be Flashpoint or Descender Vol. 1. Haven't decided yet.
Lol, that's been my life recently, I wanted to power through everything in the new 52 so I read all of Batman and Robin, most of Batman Superman, and now I'm reading The Dark Knight. Gotham is more or less my home at this point, ha. Read Flashpoint!
Nice! And I likely will go with that just because I want to read it before The Flash comes back on air. Also contemplating an InStockTrades order... Omega Men is 50% off and I have no clue how long it'll be at that price.
Have you read the stuff leading UP to Flashpoint or is that what you mean when you say "read Flashpoint"?
I mean, not surprising. David Walker did great work on the first issue and probably the others that I didn't read ('cause I really didn't like the art), but it never seemed to me like something with a long life ahead of it. I'd like to see the character in Occupy Avengers, but I'm sure he'll be too wrapped up in Squadron Supreme.
... I'm looking at IST, finally putting my next order together, and um, Bendis and Maleev did a Halo book? Hm. Well then. I don't care for video games, especially first person shooters, but part of me is really curious...
I put together an order too. Batman RIP, Johns' Flash books one and two, Saga Vol.6, and Omega Men. Haven't placed it yet though because I'm undecided if I wanna spend a chunk of money right now.
I settled on: Omega Men Spider-Girl Clean Room vol. 1 Doom Patrol (Morrison) vol. 1 Giant Days vol. 1
I plan on reading Doom Patrol but I think I'm going to read Gerard Way's first and then move backwards.
You should be fine I just read the entire run back in the day that way and really enjoyed that experience!
