Working out my Jess love by finally reading the Bendis/Maleev Spider-Woman: Agent of SWORD mini. Two issues in. Reminds me of Alias in all the right ways. I'll probably buy what I'm missing of Bendis and Brubaker's Daredevil next so I can knock out that whole era in one fluid motion.
Finally got around to re-upping Marvel Unlimited. Secret Avengers was so much fun, sucks it was cancelled or whatever
Just read the 4 issue series for Star Wars: Chewbacca from 2000. Pretty interesting take on a comic that I hadn't seen before.
Angela is ending after #7, which is depressing. Though, counting the Secret Wars mini, she and Sera got 17 issues together, which ain't too shabby. Sera's an important character, so I hope to see her pop in now and then in Mighty Thor until she ends up in another title's main cast. (Or maybe she can end up in GOTG.) That Howling something-or-other got cancelled, too, which, oh no? I feel bad for the people who I saw like it, but I never was interested and expected it to be one of the first to go.
I'd rather Angela not get thrown in GOTG again. That cast is bloated as it is. I'm surprised the other Guardians books are still going.
Also picked up Secret Wars yesterday so I can finally read the original Secret Wars events! Goodness I love reading comics.
I was trying to show my niece some comics to pass the time while my nephew played playstation but she was having none of it. Eventually asked if she wanted to see Spider Girl and she jumped at it. Spent a good 20 minutes flicking through pictures looking at Spider Girl, Ms Marvel and a few others then ran down to her mother to ask could she download the Marvel Unlimited app. I think she didn't realise that there were girl superheroes
Her potentially not knowing that there were girl superheroes is such a bummer, but my gosh, I LOVE stories about kids getting excited about comics.
Have her check out DC Super Hero Girls as well. Entire website dedicated to it here: DC Super Hero Girls
There is an STD going around that makes people attractive. The world is split on whether it is a good or bad thing. People eventually start spontaneously combusting and the real problem is realized.
I signed up for Marvel Unlimited last year and cancelled after a couple months because I just couldn't afford it. Buuut I still have full access to it on my tablet. Feel a little guilty still using it, but hey.
Have you guys read The Worst X-Man Ever? I think the second issue comes out today. Weord, I heard it was good so far and that Max Bemis from Say Anything is writing it...
It was fun. Nothing special. The whole thing was an online first title if you are looking to take it all in at once.
I looooove DC Bombshells. The art leaves a little to be desired. I hate when I book jumps artists mid-issue. About half of it is gorgeous though.
@Jason Tate I know in the Daredevil thread you said the Bendis run is in your top 10. Curious as to what else is on that list!
