I had a feeling most would say Paper Girls. I should say I've read at least the first issue of all of these except iZombie and I was least intrigued by Paper Girls, I just hope it gets better but I'm sure it does.
Dustin Nguyen is my favorite artist so I'm looking forward to catching up. Black Magick has Nicola Scott on art and she's becoming one of my favorites too so im pretty excited about that.
Paper Girls is good? I was gonna check it out when it first released but didn't due to budget reasons. I'd prob just get trades. In other news, I was stuck at the mall waiting for my sister and impulse bought Black Hammer. No regrets there.
@Tim Haha damn why u gotta make a brother lose his comics cred. Honestly didn't know though. I enjoyed Runaways and Y (and waiting for my copy of Saga) a lot so I'm sure I'll be able to catch up with you guys eventually. @Henry what a steal. I don't live in the US so I'll see if I can find other means of getting a physical copy. But thanks for the rec.
Black Magick is the one I'm most looking forward to! First issue was great and Scott's work has never been better if you ask me
Need to start Black Magick. About to get on IST and get to town. I still need to read How To Talk To Girls by Moon and Ba. Want to post a review on that soon. Need to check out Nicola Scott's art too! But honestly, PG was a lot off fun, but Descender is amazing and pulls so many cool tricks to present a narrative. Especially the second or third issue of that volume.
This is what my wishlist currently looks like: InStockTrades - up to 42% off and no shipping on orders over $50!
Finished up Superman: Red Son and really enjoyed it. I haven't read too much of Mark Millar but this story made me want to dig deeper into his work. Loved that it was by no means a traditional Superman story.
Decided to pick up Jeff Steinberg: Champion of Earth today and it might be my favorite pull, even in a week with Green Arrow and Superman issues! It was extremely funny and reminded me of Scott Pilgrim in a great way.
Nuts! Mine is a little longer than that and less organized. I'm essentially in dented to myself and I keep adding more and more every once in a while.
Will check that out! Anybody pick up Animosity?! The premise sounded like it had the potential to rip my heart out.
I've only ever made one order from the site. I really need to get either a day job or more freelance work ASAP haha.
