Sadly, I've been on comic hiatus since giving away all of my physical books due to moving. Just picked up the trade for All New All Different Avengers on comixology - dang am I all for a team with Miles Morales, Ms. Marvel, Vision and kid Nova. Anyone using the new comixology subscription? I had Marvel's for a while and really liked it.
Ehh.. It's a bit over the top sexualized. The art on it is unreal, but the story isn't great and I really hated the way they handled Starfire. edit: If you are talking about the New 52, not the relaunch.
I've been keeping a list of comics I've read/want to read but I was thinking of sharing it with you guys and have a recommendations tab if anyone feels like tossing some things in. I figured I could trust you all to only edit the one tab and not the others hah. Here's the spreadsheet if anyone is interested: Quip I'm sure I'm missing some must-reads. And if you guys want to make a column with your names so I know who rec'd what, that's all good by me.
Can anyone recommend some good Image comics? Particularly some that have built up quite a few issues or even completed? I just started and caught up to the most recent issues of a bunch and I LOVED Wicked+Divine, Black Science, Tokyo Ghost, Deadly Class, Sex Criminals, and Southern Bastards. I'm currently working my way through Mind MGMT, and I've still got Saga, East of West, and Rachel Rising in my back catalog.
Dunno if it necessarily fits what you're asking as far as "built up" is concerned, but PRETTY DEADLY. The last issue of the second arc will be out I think this month? I love it.
Image makes it easy to try most Image series because the first trades are usually 10 bucks. Lazarus is great. Birthright too. The Fade Out.
