I feel bad supporting her. I just don't like her version of the character much at all. I do want to have all of the Harley books I can find though. Hopefully at some point, they move away from Conner.
Thanks! Once I get a job again, that's where I'm thinking of mainly ordering from. Typically beats out Amazon too.
I'm at the point where I'm just ordering Image #1's even if I am not familiar with them. They haven't steered me wrong yet. Haha.
Yeah I have quite a few of those on my shelf, too. Deadly Class, Descender, The Wicked + The Divine, and Manhattan Projects are all ones I still need to read.
What did y'all get? Spider-Woman Silk International Iron Man Poison Ivy: Cycle of Life and Death Monstress Also picked up the new Red Sonja #1-3, just out of curiosity.
I'm like a month behind on current stuff. My nights just freed up, so I should have time to jump back in. I'll likely read all of those. I wasn't too into the first issue of Monstress, but I want to give it another try since I've seen high praise.
I'm like a good 6 months behind. Things have been a bit of a struggle for me recently so hopefully one of these days I can catch up. Oh and is Poison Ivy any good @Tim?
Still think it's too soon for another big event. Still plan on reading because I loved Bendis and Marquez on Ultimate Spider-Man and Invincible Iron Man.
If you start with the Free Comic Book Day #0, I'm sure you'll be fine. I've seen a lot of complaints about the team sides having characters acting out of character, but it's not even out yet, and it's not like Bendis is new to Marvel. Though, sure, it could end up not working? We'll see. If nothing else, it'll be worth it to see Marquez draw all these characters.
i want to get into reading comics but i don't know where to start. i'm interested in reading ww. should i wait until rebirth?
@lightning13, the current Wonder Woman series is real lame. The whole run by Brian Azzarello (writer) and Cliff Chiang was great, if you want to get collected volumes. If so, get them off InStockTrades.com, which has much discounted stuff, free shipping for $50 or more. If you want to read a current title with the character, there's a wonderful 9-issue series called Legend of Wonder Woman written and illustrated by Renae de Liz, which is 3 issues in; you might be able to get those issues and then continue it to the end. No information is known about the Rebirth creative team yet, but if it's good, that'll be a good jumping on point for sure.
Welcome! Not sure how familiar you are with WW but Gail Simone's run is pretty well regarded and the first run of the New 52 was amazing and quite possibly the best WW story ever.
Also, Wonder Woman: The Hiketeia is an underappreciated, short gem that included Batman essentially begging for mercy at her feet. Recommended.
I just started reading Ms. Marvel last week and have been really enjoying it so far. Spider-Gwen has me intrigued, is it worth jumping in to?
As far as Spider titles, I prefer Spider-Woman (she's a mom now, and it's better than expected) and Spider-Man (the Miles title). What I read of Spider-Gwen before dropping it was good, though, and I hear it's still good.
is instocktrades the cheapest for sure? Also when y'all say the first run of new 52 for ww, which volumes/issues particularly?
New 52 was a hard reboot of 90% of DC's stuff. Most books will have a tag letting you know they are part of the series. Wonder Woman got a new backstory. It's a very different version of the character that I love more than most of what I've read. Wonder Woman TP Vol 01 Blood (N52) And if Batwoman is something you might be interested in, this is the first trade. The numbering structure is a little bit fucked because it came out just before New 52. The whole run is gorgeous and incredible. Batwoman TP Vol 01 Elegy
