What the fuck did Amazon do to the Comixology app?!? A forced update, all progress and downloaded books lost. And a worse UI. Why.
Well I’ve answered my own question. https://gizmodo.com/comixology-amazon-update-apology-fixes-1848591207 Amazon really does ruin everything.
Just blew through Stray Dogs. That was such a great read! Wonder if there will be more after the 2 issue prequel thing, Dog Days.
Just read them and they made it seem like it was the end but maybe there was some teasing I just didn't get
Let’s go! Been waiting a long time for whatever this collaboration was to get announced. Between this graphic novel and Nick Dragotta’s upcoming 3-issue Image miniseries, it’s a good year for black & white English language comics with heavy manga influence.
My neighbor just moved to a new house across town and as a thank you gift for welcoming them to the neighborhood he bought me Absolute Batman The Killing Joke as a gift
Tillie Walden rules. Hope some people not connected to the part of the comics industry she’s big in read this ‘cause of that Walking Dead branding, and then check out her other work.
Russell Dauterman is easily the best costume designer in modern cape comics. Wish he did more interiors, but as long as he keeps cranking out gorgeous work like this, I’ll be happy. (Would also love to see a creator-owned series hire him for some character design.)
I got a copy of The Walking Dead compendium 4 for $10 bucks brand new today. At Barnes and Noble of all places
I was looking to buy Batwoman Elegy but they (Barnes and Noble and another, non-chain bookstore) only have the CW tie-in cover. So anyway, I bought Harley Quinn Black White and Red, as well as Gene Luen Yang's Boxers and Saints and two queer anthologies: Be Gay Do Comics and Embodied. I still have to read the Batgirl and Spider Gwen I got from the library, I keep renewing them haha...
Looks like there's a new run of Sandman books hitting in April and May. Pre-ordered all 4 which will includes the 75 issue run plus some other issues. I'm sure DC Universe Infinite will end up having more than 8 issues after they arrive.
How have the current Spider-Man books been with the whole Beyond thing? I haven't read anything Spidey-related in years and I've really been wanting to recently. Besides Life Story, which recent (like post-Secret Wars, I guess) runs have been good?
What I’ve read of Beyond (I’m behind but know how it ends) is good, the best ASM had been in years. I’m just personally disappointed in the ending because I think the decision on where to leave Ben Reilly kinda sucked, lol. But yeah, it’s worth reading when the last trade comes out and/or when it hits Marvel Unlimited. In a couple weeks, ASM relaunches with Zeb Wells (Beyond; Hellions) as full time writer and John Romita Jr returning to pencils with Scott Hanna inks. I feel like that’s gonna be fantastic, so worth jumping in on that. If you liked Life Story, I recommend checking out Spider-Man: Spider’s Shadow, also by Chip Zdarsky. It’s an out of continuity miniseries set during the original Alien Costume saga, basically “what if Spidey became Venom?” and it’s very good. Pretend the Nick Spencer run of ASM didn’t happen.
Oh, you're serious? Okay, well Ben Reilly is also known as the Scarlet Spider. He's the Spider-Clone. From the Clone Saga? He comes back around every so often.
