Finished the first collection! I'm realizing that any ebook I check out will be for 21 days regardless of how long it takes me to finish it haha... Formatted how, exactly? I don't think that's an issue for me? Using Overdrive in browser, I can see up to two pages at a time or I can zoom in to read each panel.
Maybe it's not as bad on the browser, I've used it mainly on my Kindle and iPad and just remember it being cut off and just formatted very odd
Man, Cates’ Thor really sucks recently. I read the first issue and was so intrigued I read the whole Aaron run and loved it. But yeah the most recent arcs in Cates’ run are pretty poor. Villian spoilers for the current Thor run below outside of Eternals which has handled him very well I really could do without reading anything about thanos. such a boring choice after Aaron’s good choices with regards to villians.
Been reading some comics lately. I read: Something is Killing the Children vol. 1; Family Tree #01; Folklords #01; and Middlewest issues #1-8. I enjoyed them all. But I don't think I am gonna continue with Family Tree. I am hoping to toss in a Marvel binge soonish. X-Men, Fantastic Four, and Daredevil in particular. I signed up for the free trial for Marvel Unlimited. We shall see.
I love Middlewest. Recently read Something is Killing the Children vol. 1 as well and enjoyed that. Need to pick up the other volumes.
SiKtC is fantastic. I love it. Family Tree gets better and it’s fairly short, first issue is rough but the whole thing is a fun ride.
I might circle back around to Family Tree because I love Jeff, but I just don’t think it will be a priority. I’ll probably pick up vol. 2 of Something Killing the Children this week.
100% even though I enjoyed it, it’s definitely not something that is must read. Just an enjoyable read. Have you checked out Primordial? #1 was awesome. Lemire and Sorrentino are a great combo.
It’s on my list. I just randomly had some free time and got caught up on a bunch of stuff I’d already purchased on comixology. So there wasn’t a real rhyme or reason to it. Lol. Anyone ready JH Williams III’s echolands? I tried to pick up a physical copy but it was sold out.
Read the first trade of Middlewest a few months ago and have volume 2 checked out from the library currently. Really love Skottie! I'm also interested in Echolands, it seems really cool but I already have way too much on my pull haha
Batgirl in season two of Young Justice! ...And a Wonder Girl who isn't Donna Troy? I'm also watching Titans, I didn't know there were others. I'm guessing Jason Todd happened during the time skip, Brad did the same thing
This is wild: I’m sure PRH will get things figured out eventually, but this is rough to see. Some brutal pictures of destroyed shipments out there on Twitter.
All of my shop’s Marvel books last week were wrecked. They’re trying to get replacements but have already told us there may be some that we just have to accept damaged copies unfortunately.
Just ploughed through Nocterra #1-6. I liked this a lot more than I was expecting. I had kinda soured on Snyder's DC work but thus far this book has been very entertaining. I expect it will be adapted into some other medium soon enough.
Yea, I’m really digging Nocterra. They have a Blacktop Bill one shot coming out in Dec that I’m really excited for.
