    I enjoyed N52 JLD quite a bit

Vendetti’s been great with Hawkman. JLD is still Tynion serving up perfection.

You mean you're not gonna read Lobdell & Booth's Flash Forward series w/ Wally West, the Mobius Chair, & connections to Doctor Manhattan!? lol.

I actually bought some Hawkman issues out of dollar bins & might eventually get at least the rest of Hitch's stuff, maybe some Olliffe issues as well. Never was super into the character outside of the silver age trade I have by Joe Kubert, but the latest attempt to tie his inconsistent continuity is just nonsensical enough to interest me, lol, & it's a pretty good character-artist pairing.

Read Vol 1 of The Walking Dead this morning and it was good but not great. Still look forward to the rest though. The artwork is truly great and I look forward to when Adlard takes over. I do love how readable and seamless the story seems to be so far.

Watching a little bit of a Joe Quesada conversation w/ Mark Millar being live streamed on Marvel’s official YouTube channel, & it’s really funny hearing Joe talk about using Marvel & DC as a stepping stone towards creator owned.

Finished The Walking Dead Volume 3 today. This one was the best one so far. Been going through about 1 per day.

Wasn't really a fan of Charlie Adlard's art in Vol 2 but it seems to be getting better so hopefully that trend continues.

Thank you, Twitter, for reminding me of one of Chip's funnier variant covers.

Justice League Odyssey #1 was enjoyable! And it was nice to see Scott Kolins return to the Flash with #55.

Wow, you’re behind, lol. Later than Barry Allen. Cannot believe they're somehow still pumping out two issues of Flash a month.

I haven’t read any Rebirth Flash, don’t know if I want to, but finally reading some of the old Mark Waid stuff gave me a deeper appreciation of people’s complaints about the costume. It’s wild to me that Superman & Batman are both back in the trunks, yet Flash is still stuck w/ those ugly ass lightning flourishes.

    Oh yeah. Way behind haha.

And yeah, I would love a return to the old Flash costume. But I’d also love it if Barry Allen went away and it was just Wally and the twins.

I think bringing Barry back was such a misstep for Johns and DC.

Now that the die's been cast for Barry being around, do you think there's a way to properly, fully restore Wally while still also having Barry in the mix? Like how there's constantly a bunch of Spider-Men around anymore in 616 Marvel (which I personally dig), or how Bruce & Dick briefly coexisted at Batman?

Wally is around but it’s been an absolute travesty since Titans ended.

That’s why I say “properly” & “fully.” Even in Titans (which I didn’t read), pre-Heroes in Crisis, wasn’t he filled w/ angst in the aftermath of Rebirth & lead-up to Doomsday Clock? Thinking about his missing family, etc.?

Something I’ve thought about since starting to read some Waid Flash:

What if they just went back to Dick Grayson as Batman at the same time as Bruce, & then had a “JLA” monthly series where Dick leads a team that includes Wally as Flash? Not a “Titans” team, not a 100% sidekicks/legacy team, but a secondary Justice League series that doesn’t share members w/ “Justice League” but is still recognizable as a Justice League, & happens to include some fan favorites? I bet that’d be a really popular & successful series that’d make a lot of people really happy.

I think it's creatively possible. But frankly, I doubt DC has the institutional will to do so. It seems to me that the corporate side of things would prefer that Barry Allen be the only real visible Flash across all media. Which really sucks.

Hey, depending on how that 5G crap goes & what the future of Ezra Miller & Grant Gustin in their respective roles looks like... maybe they'll let Wally do his thing in a cynical IP-farming kinda way! lol.

(Which, depending on the accuracy of those 5G rumors, I still can't wrap my mind around them not leaning into Dick Grayson, Wally West, Jessica Cruz, etc., instead of miscellaneous new characters. Why would they shuffle off legacy characters, including Wally, the one post-Silver Age successful replacement, for the most famous versions, & then try to discover new iterations in a cynical attempt to create their own "All-New All-Different Marvel" IP? So nonsensical.)

Yeah, I genuinely don't understand it. If it was an alternate future or Earth or something, it'd be a load of fun (kind of like if they did what they did with the Earth-One graphic novels) but having it be a massive replacement? uh... don't think that's gonna work out all that great but okay why not?

Made my way through The Terrifics #6 and I’m very into it. Of course, it helped that issues 4 and 5 were drawn by Doc Shaner.

The comics are some of my favourite. I did feel like the Governor arc went on for a while but it gets really exciting from here! If i'm remembering volume 8 correctly.

Volume 8 left off with the big showdown with the Governor at the prison and Rick and Carl leaving and being on their own

Just checked out Compendiums 2 and 3 from the library. Will start them after I get through some Batman stuff. This makes me excited to get through these now!

Also read Outer Darkness Volumes 1-2 in the past 24 hours
