Anybody been up to date with DC?

 

I fell off of the main DC titles a while ago (they just had too many that were too frequent for me to keep up with). I liked Lois Lane and Superman's Pal Jimmy Olsen when I checked those out though. I've mostly been reading the Hill House imprint comics.

 

How many of the Hill House tires have released so far? Are any actually written by Joe?

Picked up two weeks worth of books today at my LCS. Also found a copy of Power Pack #1 for a cheap price in decent condition.

Never thought I'd read a Conan book but apparently Saladin Ahmed is writing a new Conan series in February. I'll check it out just for him.

This was really cool and insightful. As a manager of an indie bookstore myself, it was awesome to find out Hyde got his start in a similar place. Tattered Cover in Denver is wonderful, by the way - my bookshop takes inspiration from them as well.

I went to one after moving to CO. Wasn’t the Denver one but it was an awesome store.

 

They're pretty magical wherever they are! Hah. Of all the times I've been to Denver over the years, I always miss out on exploring Mile High Comics. Hopefully this year I get the chance.

 

Just finished reading Venom: The End. That was an epic batshit crazy one-shot. I loved it.

 

I for sure need to go there too. I’m like 80+ miles from Denver though.

 

My LCS is having a 50% off sale on trades and collected editions this week.

Picked up Baltimore, Vol. 1 by Mignola, The Wilds by Vita Ayala, Man-Wolf: The Complete Collection, Pretty Deadly, Vol. 2. by Deconnick and the Little Bird deluxe edition.

Theyre out of stock of vol. 1 and 2 of the Hellboy library editions but I'm tempted to pick up the other volumes they have later this week.

 

Finally starting my re-read/finishing Locke & Key today! Really excited for the show in 2 weeks

 

I finally got to go to Mile High Comics last week! It was kind of overwhelming.

 

anyone checked out the first two issues of Tom Taylor's Suicide Squad? I'm really enjoying it so far, a nice little change of pace to the usual formula without bending it too out of shape to be familiar.

 

Anyone planning to check this out?

 

The new Star Wars run is really good so far 2 issues in.
