Ordered more books, because of course I did. Descender #2 We Stand on Guard Infinite Crisis Batman and Son Batman and Robin 1 & 2 (Morrison's)
Ordered. What about Detective Comic? It was ok but I heard also that it got better after Tony Daniel left it.
I read Detective Comics from the beginning and enjoyed everybody's runs. After Tony Daniel left, John Layman took over and it was great! After that Francis Manapul and Brian Buccellato took over and there's was good too. Can't speak for the ones after that really, and honestly i'm not even caught up with Manapul/Buccellato's run but what i read i enjoyed.
There were too many Bat books at the beginning of New 52. I think the only other one I would try is B&R. I love their dynamic.
so Manhatten Projects vol 6 was by far the best volume yet. Cutting all the side characters and only focusing on one character/story line per trade fixed a lot of the problems I had with the book.
That makes me so happy to hear. i cant not wait for the an Einstein trade. Is there a planned number of volumes for it? I remember reading a while ago he just saw this as one huge universe and didnt really have an end goal in site. Also tell me about it, I did not see that coming AT ALL.
I can't find any info on where the next book is going. Since this trade just released, I think it maky be some time before we get another follow-up. I seriously cried. About a dog that spontaneously evolves getting launched into a sun with her caregiver that she hates. Brilliant.
There is a comics subscription service like that but it doesn't have any of the Big publishers really.
I'm right there with you. It would certainly make things a lot easier with my understanding of half the shit that goes on in their big events. Half of Crisis refers you to other series to know what is going on.
Considering how slow it takes DC to release their trades I feel its the companies priority to make it as inconvenient as possible for you obtain their comics onoutside of buying their over priced monthly 22 page comics.
This is where I find the Discover tab on Marvel Unlimited to be very useful. That's what I had been using to read through Civil War, which I only got about 40 issues in so I should probably finish that.
How are they overpriced? Every other publisher is the same price. AND Marvel shipped 2X monthly at $3.99 a piece, DC has only recently started to do the twice monthly shipping but it's at $2.99
When it comes to big events i search up the "order" of comics to read online and work off of that. Edit: though that helps when the event is done.
Not in the slightest. It's not really that rare though. OG Secret Wars box set is so pretty. Didn't DC do the same thing with Flashpoint?
They did do alot but they didn't do THAT many haha. Plus they had good reason for it as they essentially did it so they could cancel everything and start anew. Is that what Civil War was as well? How much does that set go for, that is pretty gorgeous.
