I've dug it. The slower release schedule, and slow burn first half w/out getting to the promised premise, haven't helped, but I think it'll be a very strong final product. Johns & Frank being essentially a Watchmen cover band, while still being recognizable as themselves, makes for a neat vibe. And, there have been some really good moments. I'm excited to see where these remaining 5 issues go. No idea if it has lived up to the initial hype, but if you view Watchmen as a really good comic instead of some holy text, this expansion is good.
I just threw money at a kickstarter and that gets me a Leslie Hung commission. I haven't been this excited in soooooo long.
The Green Lantern is off to a good start. The art is tremendous. I'm still going to miss the hell out of Green Lanterns, that was so damn good by the end.
I hope after all the Doomsday Clock/Heroes in Crisis stuff resolves they reunite the original Titans. Feels like they never got a chance to fully utilize the team because of all the restrictions going on with events and stuff. It just felt like they were going to be so much more important to Rebirth than they ended up being.
Did you get around to when Tim Seeley took over? His run was incredible, then Dan Jurgens finished with like a 9 issue epic that was perfect.
I love Lemire, but I wasn’t a huge fan of this. But if you haven’t tried Kelly Thompson’s run, do it. It’s about Kate Bishop.
That's next on my list! Have you read Kot's Secret Avengers? I hear there's tons of Clint stuff in it.
every time I read venom mentioned in the ultimate series, I can’t stop thinking about tater tots. The movie ruined me.(love the movie)
It's certainly been forever (in modern comic publishing terms, lol) since Bendis' Miles run ended. I think waiting was smart, though. Did you read that Spider-Man Annual from like September? Good standalone Miles story that basically rewrote part of his origin (since post-Secret Wars, he was integrated into past 616 continuity in an almost Flashpoint/Rebirth manner). Gave him a new Uncle Ben-ish moment, since he technically never had a dead Peter now.
that Spider-Man annual gave me so much love for Miles just because the store was a spoof of a store I shop at.
I go to this site ComicList: New Comic Book Releases List for 11/14/2018 (1 Week Out) every week and add my list to the calendar in my phone. I also get emails from Image on Wednesday that talk about all the new releases in case there's something I haven't heard of. I also have an old phone that apps rarely work on.
