On a whim I picked up Man-Eaters #1 by Chelsea Cain and it's pretty awesome.

Can't wait for the next issue now

 

Agreed. Love the way the world was set up and I’m excited to learn more about the characters.

 

Man, the DC Universe comic selection is weak. I’m going to get through pretty much everything I’m interested in within the one week trial...disappointing.

 

this ultimate Spider-Man series has been fun. I’m right at the end of the Venom arc.

 

Loved those comics. Is that the one with Ultimate Peter or Miles?

I always thought the ASM2 movie was setting up for a similar Venom origin to Ultimate. Webb teased a photo of a silver locker number 14, which is where Parker and Brock find the symbiote.

Ultimate Parker. I wanted to start with just Miles but a friend suggested reading Parker’s story just because of how good it is.

 

So the new Hellboy poster makes me want to dive into those comics for the first time ever.

 

No Justice is fucking great. Really love the way these characters are all written. The stuff with Waller is kinda hokey, but everything else rules. I absolutely adore Starro.

 

They just released them in chronological order in 4 volumes of main story and 2 of side stories. I'm just about finished with the third main book and adore it so damn much. Highly suggest picking up the first book, at the least.

And don't sleep on the side stories. Some of my favorite stuff is in there. Most of it is supernatural shit that Hellboy stumbles upon the works its way out on its own, but he ends up covered in goo. lol

I just got to the part of Ultimate Spider-Man where they actually have the Spider-Man movie shooting arc and this is way to meta for me.

 

Tom Taylor's All-New Wolverine had some apartment moments with Laura that definitely felt a little Spider-Man to me. Juann Cabal sometimes draws distractingly like Jamie McKelvie but does some good Kevin Maguire style faces. And, I love the current Peter status quo in ASM, but the actual ASM series itself is totally unappealing to me.

So, this is cool.

Especially since my go to Peter comics, Zdarsky's Spectacular & Houser's Renew Your Vows, are done (unless there's an unannounced Renew Your Vows relaunch, but I doubt it).
