Not too late at all, planning to check some things out this weekend and this is on the list. Sounds like based off this it's worth the look

 

Been re-reading Hickman's Fantastic Four run.

It is soooooooo good. I can't believe Marvel has let us go this long without a Fantastic Four book.

 

We are finally getting them back in August, though, written by Silver Surfer's Dan Slott and illustrated by Ultimate Spider-Man's Sara Pichelli. With covers by Esad Ribic.

I know Slott is polarizing after his decade-long tenure on ASM, but I'm super pumped for the new series, especially since it looks like Richards is keeping the beard:

 

Really cool write up from NPR about free comic book day tomorrow. It gives a good description of every comic available too.

Gonna get Avengers/Captain America, Amazing Spider-Man, Street Angel's Dog, Ghost in the Shell (free David Lopez art can only be a good thing), Barrier, maybe Power Rangers, maybe Spongebob, Adventure Time...

Good year.

 

I bought a Japanese copy of Ghost in the Shell and I don't know why.

 

Yeah I'm pretty excited for tomorrow!

 

Joelle Jones is such a perfect fit for Batman. That short stint with Talia was gorgeous. And the follow up with Clark was delightful.

 

Ended up with Overwatch/Black hammer, Pokemon Sun and Moon, Riverdale, Castle trade, and Shadow Roads. Most were picked over since the shop in a downtown area with a spring festival going on.

Half off back issues and sixty percentage off trades makes for a good time even if my wallet disagrees.

 

Snagged Barrier and the ASM “prelude”. Barrier was pretty interesting. I’ll definitely snag issue 2 on Wednesday!

 

The Avengers/Captain America issue was really good. I'm gonna trade wait Aaron's Avengers, but I'm super excited to read more. And I'm gonna have to add Coates' Cap to my pull.

Not that into ASM. Which, if you'd told me 2 yrs ago that Spencer was gonna write ASM and make Pete and Boomerang roommates, I totally would've been into it. Sorry, Invincible fans, but I'm not into the art.

You know what art I'm very into? David Lopez, whose Ghost in the Shell comic was super cool. I forgot how much I dig his style.

I didn't read Barrier yet, but likewise for Marcos Martin's work in there. Great day for free, great art.

 

The time has come to try sell my small collection off before moving house. It's rather tragic seeing how little most of my comics are worth!

Impressive .White Sand is the only BranSand Cosmere that I haven't actually read yet .

 

It's the only Sanderson I have read, but I really liked it. Vol 2 is only out as a hardcover right now :(

Not any. I know. If you were to recommend just one Batman trade, what would it be?

Seems perfect to me with the amount of X-Men there.

 

I felt bad I didn't get the Bongo/Simpsons comic on FCBD. I emailed Bongo and they're gonna send it to me. So awesome!
