I look forward to getting the WW: Year One trade when it comes out. Those Marvel covers look rad. Love MJ in the Iron Spider suit.
Wonder Woman: Year One is only every OTHER issue. Seems weird how that'll make sense to people buying weekly/monthly but i guess we'll see.
I know it's a twice monthly book, but out of all of those this one seems to confuse me the most. The others sound like they are gonna be essentially the same story every issue just different artists. But WW sounds like it's gonna be 2 completely separate stories, idk. Love Nicola Scott's work though, glad she is back with DC.
oh god, I almost cried multiple times reading the new volume for Ms. Marvel on the subway. Seriously when she wanted to save those kittens, I had to put the book down. Also those last few page with her and bruno.... sooooo beautiful.
I think next weekend is the first one I have nothing going on so I'll try and fly through my back log of two months. lol
I don't read it because I don't care about high school Peter at all, but I've heard good things. It's the writer behind Silk, so I'm sure it's not bad.
While it originally leaked that both War Machine and She-Hulk bite the dust, and some of the solicits kinda support the second one. One of the choosing sides solicits mentions the first so but only by costume name, and recently there seemed to be a story where it could POSSIBLY be setting up someone else to take the mantle.
I'm probably biased because Hawkeye is my favorite marvel hero and I've enjoyed the newer run enough. In other Marvel comic news today, the fucking reveal at the end of New Avengers #10 is EXACTLY what I've been waiting for. His absence has been a huge question mark for me and I'm so glad to see the threads of Hickman's work being picked up.
Hm. I hadn't heard that. I don't know how I'd feel about those deaths. She-Hulk would be a major bummer.
Picked up the next volumes for Preacher, Nailbiter and Hack/Slash...Also got a few more Batmans: Mad Love, Haunted Knight, and Black Mirror
It's another one of those books that is just overwhelming due to how deep in the run it is. Chew seemed so overwhelming (even though I read the whole thing in just a few weeks) lol
I can't imagine anyone who is starting The Walking Dead from the beginning. That right there is a money pit.
Hack/Slash is probably my favorite thing I'm reading now. The only issue is there are sooo many different artists and I like a some a lot more than others. The price was what held me off from reading The Walking Dead. I caught up online, which I don't feel great about, but I at least grabbed a subscription now that I'm caught up.
I think it helps Chew because each collected edition has less issues so it doesn't FEEL so overwhelming. This is a big reason I haven't even bothered with it. Should've warned you about all the artists, my bad. Glad you're enjoying it though!
Love Sunstone and Giant Days (and Rat Queens of course). Probably going to splurge and buy a bunch of trades this week as a b-day celebration.
