Superman: Birthright is definitely one of my favorites, All-Star being my all time favorite. I would also recommend Geoff Johns' Superman: Brainiac and Superman: For All Seasons. Geoff Johns Flash run is one of my favorites if you're talking about the Wally West run.

I'm currently reading all of the original Hellblazer, I think I'm somewhere around issue 200 or so? really good stuff though, the older super 80's art styles I sometimes struggle with (it varies), but the stories kept me going.

I have read Brainiac and For All Seasons! Both were wonderful. It is his Wally West run, so I'm looking forward to that.

For Hellblazer, I only own the Dangerous Habits book, but I think the library by me has most of the run, so I'm sure I'll check out the rest at some point.

Glad that the FF are back. Along with X-Men, it’s my favorite Marvel property.

I’m lukewarm on Slott, but I really like Pichelli. I’ll probably check it out.

Slott's Silver Surfer is a perfect series, and not only because of Allred's art. *shrug* Only concern is how he'll write Sue, but I'd feel that with any male writer, tbh.

Yo, I've been busy and almost forgot to get our Avengers: Infinity War "Further Reading" post going!

    Y'all still into these, right?

We should probably including the original 90s Infinity Gauntlet, even though that's super obvious, lol.

I also wanna mention Hickman's Infinity event because it features the Black Order... though that one's tough 'cause I really like our recs to all be valid options for someone who's never read a comic and wants to read just one. And, based on my personal experience, I don't think that story reads well without the context of Hickman's larger Avengers epic.

Maybe we could include the first volume of Hickman's Avengers and/or New Avengers?

The Infinity Gauntlet miniseries by Dustin Weaver & Gerry Duggan from Secret Wars is cool.

Thanos by Jeff Lemire? Or any of Starlin's modern Infinity graphic novels?

Any non-"Infinity," non-Thanos big Avengers stories worth mentioning?

    @Vivatoto @Deanna @SpyKi @Allpwrtoslaves @xapplexpiex @scottlechowicz @BackyardHero11 @Henry & anyone else... Wanna do one? Or suggest anything?

I haven't read many of these, and never heard of Thanos by Jeff Lemire, but I'm sold on Jeff Lemire so I'd be down for doing that one.

Cool. The first trade collects Thanos (2016) #1-6 by Lemire & Mike Deodato. I haven't read it yet myself, but I've heard good things.

I guess we'll do the normal approach of seeing who else signs up for what, and then me throwing some random story at you, lol.

I'm not familiar with any of those outside of the Infinity books, which I wasn't really into.

I can do something with Hickman’s Avengers / NA / Infinity, as I’ve read all of that.

If you wanna stick with the first volume of Avengers / NA, I could just tack on some information about how those books lead into Infinity and its connection with the film.

I haven’t read Infinity in a while, but I’d say that it is absolutely important to read, maybe even without the lead up of Avengers/New Avengers. The movie is clearly heavily borrowing from that event. Thanos just has a different motivation for invading.

I originally read Infinity without context and didn't like it. I reread it when going through the larger Hickman saga and loved it. So, I'm not about to recommend it without the lead up, lol.

Maybe @scottlechowicz, you, and/or I could do Avengers oversized hardcover vol 1 (which covers like 2 or 3 trades and stops right where the Infinity collection begins), New Avengers trade paperback vol 1 (also leads directly to Infinity), & Infinity as 3 separate entries, with each blurb (or at least the Infinity one) addressing how these series intersected for the event?
