Went to Midtown Comics today in Times Square to check it out. Picked up two trades for my wife - Giant Days Vol 1 and Wonder Woman Vol 1.
Yeah I'm totally into the concept and excited to see all the different kinds of crazy ass serial killers. Yeah, I bought the first omnibus for Hack/Slash. It's the one I'm most excited for. Reading Hush now though because I've had that around forever. The art in Hush is blowing me away. Also got the second Punisher MAX collection that came out Tuesday.
I think this has been discussed possibly, but I don't care. It seems most of you exclusively buy trades. Does anyone buy floppies?
I did when I had the money and don't really buy trades. @Tim does pretty sure @xapplexpiex does as well.
Definitely feel that! I started to get a bit overwhelmed with my ever growing backlog and once the child came, my priorities changed a bit haha. Haven't really read anything in 6 months but i still try to stay informed and keep up with the big/important stories.
Just ordered Vol. 2-7 of Snyder's Batman run and Batman: Year One. Very glad instocktrades.com exists right now hah.
On my pull list, I only really buy Saga, Luther Strode, and Chew. Mostly because I don't feel like waiting for the trades.
Glad to see another Luther Strode fan! It's easy to forget about that series with how inconsistent the release schedule is. That's the final series for it though right?
Yup, this is supposed to be the conclusion of it. I really like the direction of this last part, and the art style really suits the story.
Is Ghostrider any good? I saw he was doing the art, but I haven't followed Ghostrider enough to check it out.
I knew nothing about it before hand and only read the first arc that he did art on, nothing afterwards. It was alright, nothing particularly special or amazing. Don't think the series lasted much longer after that.
@Colby Searcy Hack/Slash is so good so far. I'm on comic book carnage right now and it's hilarious they have Steve Niles among other comics book authors in there. EDIT: Lol and Kirkman On another note, does anyone have any good recs for Batman villain either origin stories or their first appearances? I'd really like to read a Harley Quinn origin story. Maybe Scarecrow or Killer Croc
Since you are local, what shop do you go to? Bedrock? HAHA Yeah i loved that one! I had no idea who any of those people were at first because it was one of my 1st books i read lol. As far as origin stories go...for Harley definitely pick up Mad Love and Other Stories, that's about the closest to an origin you'll get for her. As for Scarecrow and Killer Croc, i'm really not sure if either has really had "Origin story" arcs.
