Okay, so I have Infinite Crisis, Final Crisis, and Identity Crisis sitting unread on my shelf. If I just read the main trades will I be fine? Or do I need to read supporting material, too?
Definitely fine for Identity. I would wait to read Final Crisis until you're at that part in Grant Morrisons Batman run. Infinite needs at least Countdown to Infinite Crisis before it.
Man, I do not like the Crisis books I've read. Its just too much of everything. They are always crazy convoluted too. I should maybe try Final and Identity.
Thanks! I'm still piecing together the Morrison run, but it's going to have to wait until I have some sort of job. Apparently the Apple Store didn't want to hire me haha.
Identity really isn't like the other ones. It's more of a mystery/character drama. I think you'd really like it.
I had some good reading today. Becky Cloonan's By Chance and Providence and the final trade for Sheriff of Babylon, which was just perfect.
King is on an entirely different level. Did you read War of Jokes and Riddles this week? Battle of the goddamn snipers...
I haven't a had a chance to yet but this arc has been really fucking good. i love this more morose version of The Joker. Tom King is so good. Can't wait for Mister Miracle.
It's a book I really want to like, but the Dr. Light stuff is so terrible and tasteless as is the reveal of the murderer. It feels like Metzer just came in with a wrecking ball and didn't care about the consequences since he didn't have to write about the aftermath. I think Countdown to Infinte Crisis and 52 do a great job of picking up the loose threads, though.
Just read Frostbite. Really enjoyed it and wish it had been longer. Hate when books get canceled on cliff hangers.
Everyone should read The Goddamned. Went in with zero expectations and am kinda floored by how much I love it. I guess I shouldn't be too surprised since it is another Jason Aaron book. lol
Netflix Buys Millarworld in First-Ever Company Acquisition for the Streaming Giant didn't know to post this in the Netflix thread or this.... Seems pretty cool but aren't most of his best stories already been turned into movies? Nemesis would make a cool movie or mini series but what else does he have in his Millarworld?
Amazon.com: Miles Morales: Spider-Man (A Marvel YA Novel) (9781484787489): Jason Reynolds, Kadir Nelson: Books Anybody plan to read this? I just got it in at the library
I picked up PG last week. Along with the 2nd volume, which I was saddened to find out I already owned. I'm an idiot.
Black Monday Murders isn't what I expected at all. For some reason I thought it was a Brubaker book. Really happy it is Hickman. The guy is so fucking good at world building.
