I liked this both because it made me chuckle and because that's one of my favorite Spider-Man covers.
(With this post, I now have 6 out if the last 10 posts. No shame.) Don't do this to me, guys. I know neither character is their self right now, but still, Vision and Wanda together always gives me all sorts of good feelings, even if it's just a cruel tease. Hopefully this issue (which stars these 2 w/ Superior Octopus, Deadpool, Odinson, Taskmaster, and Black Ant) is as solid a tie-in as the last issue. Leave it to Waid and Del Mundo to tell some good stories within the nonsense that is Secret Empire.
Picked up the first collection of Scalped. Two issues in, I'm fully on board. Jason Aaron is seriously just the best.
Remembered this article and found it to show a friend. Some of you could enjoy it. Shows how some of the infamous film Batman & Robin actually seems to borrow a lot from the comics. Batman-Online - Comic Influences on Batman & Robin (1997)
That book is wonderful. The covers were always incredible. And yeah, Jason Aaron is a supreme talent.
I read All New Wolverine and thought that the Civil War 2 stuff sounded pretty interesting so I ended up reading the miniseries (no crossovers or anything) and really enjoyed it. I don't have much Marvel to compare it to, I think the only Marvel event I've read is Annihilation if that counts, but compared to a lot of DC events where I'm passionate about the characters I would put this with the better ones.
Chip Zdarsky Teaches You How to Draw (Kinda) in New Marvel Variants These are absolutely hilarious. I'm glad Chip's Spectacular Spider-Man sketch variant spawned a full series of variants.
Haha hope you dig it! Lemme know if you need me to grab the link. I'm still trying to get people over to the podcast thread, too. I think starting a discussion around the episodes would be cool.
One trade left to go on Injustice. Really loved this run all the way through. Hopefully the stuff for the second game is on par.
A Francavilla vintage-styled story co-written by the late Darwyn Cooke would've been so cool. Darwyn's passing last year was such a loss for the comic book industry. Such a supreme talent, both as an artist and as a storyteller.
Lol omg Superman is doing the Ra Ra America! thing again, thought that was a single issue thing. This is so bad.
I would totally read a series with the 7 original lanterns. They did a great job building them up in GLs
