Reviewed the new Spidey title. Peter Parker: The Spectacular Spider-Man #1 Review

Going to catch up on some stuff this weekend. I started From Hell last weekend but only got a little bit of that read. Not sure how long it'll take me to finish that one haha.

 

Man, DC has such better price points on their books. Picked up JL vs SS hardcover for $15 (MSRP $30). That same book for Marvel would have cost, at MSRP, between $40-55. I don't understand why their price points can be so different for what is basically the same amount of pages. DC also has way better paper quality.

This book just bummed me the fuck out. That ending was rough. Can't wait for the war.

 

I need to get my hands on vol 3 and 4 of this cus I really liked the first two

 

Justice League vs. Suicide Squad was good, but a little bloated. All of the side stories felt unnecessary.

 

Ok, we just need one more Spider-Man Further Reading contributor!

Preferably to write about Ultimate Spider-Man vol. 1 by Bendis & Bagley.

So weird that getting people for this Spidey one has weirdly been hard, lol. Insert someone trolling me about Spidey's quality as a character here. Wonder if the quick turnaround from GOTG to WW to this is a factor. At least we have 'til the fall before the next two.

I have six Harley trades sitting on my pile and I'm slowly chipping away at it today. Got through 3 & 4 of the New 52 run. Enjoying it more than I did with the first two trades, I guess. lol

Put down a deposit for a Harley tattoo. Gonna get a portrait of the classic look.

 

my local comic shop owner put aside a copy of dark nights the forge for me. he's the man. i totally forgot about it and was bummed that it was probably sold out everywhere, then i went in and he had one for me. and i didn't even ask.
