I was mostly saying that 'cause they're claiming that Joker's identity will be revealed in, I think, JL #50. lol. I'm looking forward to Batgirl, New Super-Man, and Manapul's Trinity. Might also pull All-Star Batman 'cause a road adventure with Two Face against Batman's rogues sounds awesome.
So I finally got around to picking up the first couple issues of the Batman/TMNT miniseries. I hope my son goes down easy tonight so I can read it before bed.
21 months and I'll have another in july. He sleeps well once he falls asleep, getting him there is what's difficult.
Almost 3 yr old and a 7 yr 3 year old son and 7 year old daughter. She is currently reading the Lil Gotham hardcover. (Costco $8 last weekend)
TOLDJA: Gerard Way's Imprint At DC Comics, Young Animal - And It Will Stay In Continuity With DC Rebirth! - Bleeding Cool Comic Book, Movie, TV News this is everything I've ever wanted plus more.
same reason why the early vertigo books were still in continuity but under the different name. I assume they will be so tonally different that putting it under the DC COMICS name would give people the wrong impression.
That's fair. I'm not sure that some of the Swamp Thing books I've read would have been received very well if they were under DC's name off the bat. Even those New 52 books were pretty brutal though.
God I love Lil Gotham! I'm a big fan of that creative team though so I'm likely biased hah! Not sure what Fridolfs is doing currently.

Reading the Walking Dead has seriously been screwing with all my other reading. Definitely obsessed. Just finished issue 96 through the second compendium.
Working my way through a bunch of stuff. Batgirl #50 was a total blast and made me bummed again that this creative team is leaving. I'm excited for what's next, and also excited for this team's upcoming Image title, but I'll miss this Batgirl of Burnside. At least the upcoming writer is a fan of this run, so it'll probably feel more like an evolution than an abrupt change. Really liked Black Panther #1, no surprise there. A few different plots were introduced here that should be fun to watch unfold over the next ten issues. It definitely builds heavily off what's come before, but even if you know nothing about T'Challa and company, you should be fine. Though, if you want to know more about something, Google is always your friend. If you're sleeping on Black Widow, you're a dang fool. #2 was excellent. Samnee's art is a site to behold, and I'm totally hooked by the intrigue. Everyone with a pull, or who buys digitally (or pirates), should be on this. Dug Spider-Man #3, though Miles' grandma is an annoying character. Lana (Bombshell) made a quick appearance and looked super cool with Pichelli's art, and the friendship between Kamala and Miles is everything I wanted it to be. Also, if anyone followed Bendis' Uncanny X-Men series (I didn't but read a little bit and will eventually read the rest), he brought his Goldballs character over to this title by making him Miles and Ganke's classmate. Also cool to see crime lord Black Cat popping up everywhere.
Goldballs being in their class is great. I love those newer mutants and I'm glad that at least two of them have continued to pop up (Triage over in Uncanny). I wonder why he is seperate from the rest of the X-men though. The terrigen most still seems to be a problem for a lot of mutants.
I started working my way through the Flash New 52 issues I bought digitally and forgot about. I'm on #20 and have up through #38. Likely won't buy any of the others after that unless it's to finish the story line 38 covers if necessary.
Yeah I have the first two trades and then Comixology had a huge sale on single issues for like $1-2 each so I grabbed whatever was out at that point. The Manapul run has been fantastic.
Sara Pichelli's Kamala (as seen in Spider-Man #3) looks so dang cool. Like, when her time on Spider-Man is done, I'd love to see Pichelli do like a Young Avengers or Runaways or Cloak & Dagger or New Mutants series. It'd instantly become the coolest series ever.
Are issues 23.1, 23.2, and 23.3 of the New 52 Flash ones critical to the story? Realizing I didn't grab those and want to check before I continue reading hah.
My friend loaned me a bunch of DC comics to check out since my knowledge outside of Batman is weak. (also loaned me some Marvel stuff too). Currently reading Villains United.
I don't know how related the two are, but Secret Six has a lot of the same characters (and that is the title of the first trade). I love that book a lot though.
