Just finished Daredevil Vol. 1 by Brubaker and I'm bummed because I didn't realize it was a continuation of Bendis' run. It's great, but I feel like I definitely to go back before moving forward. Thankfully, I found a comic sho I just finished Paper Girls Vol. 1 and enjoyed it immensely. Love the 80s vibe and the story dives right in. The art is on a whole 'nother level.
Brain k Vaughn is da man. Ex machina is still one of my favorites. Y is damn near perfect. I'll def check out Low
Almost bought Paper Girls yesterday... probably should've. I've been digging the Image comics I've been reading. Yesterday I saw the first run of Spawn bound in a series of graphic novels. I really wanted to grab it but I don't have enough cash. Anyone ever read the first Spawn run?
Yeah. Spawn has been a straight run. I remember a year or two ago they started selling the entire collection. Insanity. Any of you new folks want to add to the first page of the thread? I think one of you guys had add I might not have added it because I was hungover and forgot. Will go back and grab. If you guys want to though, put it in a similar format and I'll edit where appropriate.
Anyone pick up Coates' Black Panther #1? I usually stick to trades but I'm super curious about it because of him and Stelfreeze's art.
I'd like to. It's just way too much to process. That is a ton of issues. It is a universe that I'd love to delve into, if for nothing else, Angela.
A comic shop near me is having a New 52 sale for all of April so maybe I lied about not spending money hah. Might have to go check that out.
Nah, like Henry said that seems WAY too daunting. Similar situation with TWD(although i'm also not a fan of B&W). So they basically moved from Babs to this, nice!
Just picked it up, don't usually buy single issues either but because it's Coates I had to check it out. Don't know anything about Black Panther so I'm pretty excited to dive in
Went to the comic shop and the New 52 sales was only on hardcovers or single issues so I didn't grab any, but did grab Back To Brooklyn and Batman: The Return of Bruce Wayne for 50% off. Court of Owls also just arrived in the mail so not a bad day.
Yeah I only have Killing Joke and Batman Vol. 8 in hardcover. The latter is only because DC sent it to me to review so I didn't get a choice. And I wasn't finding Killing Joke in any other format.
I bought hardcovers at first, all of Locke and Key (and the Killing Joke too!) but quickly decided I like reading paperbacks more.
I just hate bringing my tablet with me and I don't usually read at home. When I do read at home though I go with my growing digital collection.
Yeah I enjoy the paperbacks a lot more. But with Marvel Unlimited and advance copies via Net Galley, I read a good amount of digital too.
Just saw this now, that was the latest one I read and I really didn't enjoy it much either. I was surprised. I would've bought 7 by now but I've only seen it in hardcover.
Not titled Zero Year but there was some of that stuff in there (kinda?) and just uninteresting random stories. Collects issues #0 , #18 thru #20, #28, #34 and annual #1
