Pick up anything cool? I'm excited to take my son.blast year, the comic shop had it's own activity book made for little kids and he loved it.

Edit: I meant "last year," not "blast year," but I'm keeping it because it sounds cooler.

 

Anyone get your free stuff yet? I picked up Secret Empire/Spider-Man, GOTG/Defenders, I Hate Image, the Wonder Woman reprint, & the Betty & Veronica reprint. (Plus buying my pull and some 80s Spidey issues.)

 

I wish I had an LCS :(

 

Picked up the back issues of Chewbacca today since it's the only one of the new Star Wars series I haven't read. Really excited to read the Free Issues of Betty & Veronica and Riverdale I got. Between those and the show, I think I'm finally inspired to start and catch up with the new Archie series this summer.

 

Haha yeah, I was able to get a lot of the FBCD issues, but I wasn't able to grab anything else due to being broke (spent so much money buying stuff last month). Planning to give some of the free comics (especially those I have already copies of) to people who I think I can incept, er, encourage to start collecting.

Even though I wasn't able to stick around longer my favorite comic shop was pretty fun. So many people (including kids lol) dressed up as their favorite characters, so eager to read their free comics. One of my friends also did free commissions but I wasn't able to catch him, sadly.

Would love to hear other people's experiences though!

 

Guys. The Zdarsky FCBD Spidey story was so much fun. I laughed multiple times. I'm so glad we're getting a Chip ongoing with the character.

 

Totally would've grabbed the Spongebob comic if there hadn't been a limit. Maybe Riverdale, too.

Just got home. Lots of fun seeing such a variety of people, not only in terms of race, but also gender and age, all in line at the comic book store. I got a few free comics and bought some prints from one of the artists in the store.

 

I've bought so much Spidey stuff at various shops today. Can't wait to take the obligatory picture of my haul later.

 

I ended up with the D.C. Books, the Image book, Black Mask studio book, and xo manowar

I don't know if my shop didn't have it or I just missed it but didn't realize there was a TMNT book

Talked to Rob Guillory a bit and got his signature. Super nice dude.

 

Picked up my weekly haul of GotG #1, Black Bolt #1, Jean Grey #1, Gold #3, Batman #22, and Champions #8. For free books, I picked up Rick and Morty, Dragon Ball Super, some Buffy HS book, and Riverdale.

Also, the shop was selling old brand new X-Men action figures from the 90s so I was LIVING.

 

Picked up a few of the freebies today after visiting my LCS for the first time in a few months, but I was mainly excited to grab some collected editions that I've wanted get for a while.

Sandman, Vol. 1

I've heard about Rat Queens from my favorite show Critical Role, and while I've heard about Sandman passively over the past year or so while getting into comics, they were featured at the store and figured now was a good time to grab it. Looking forward to reading them this weekend!

Rat Queens is wonderful. One of my favorite books. Does the D&D stuff perfectly.
